Why is McPherson back so late? Thought Parish made a bit of a hoo har about players coming back so late, Moon because of his injury you can understand.

Just read in an article about Long going to Preston Grasshoppers that we have a new conditioner, does that we do have a new one of is Long doing that?.

Does anyone know for sure if Parish has found any gems in Australia to bring back with him? you'd think with his connections finding a couple of eager youngsters who want some experience would be pretty easy.

McPherson got married at weekend and is waiting on his visa coming through. He is due on 20th November I think, Moon is also getting married, this weekend I think, he will be over in December.

Just finished reading these threads, new season looming and you lot are still in turmoil, where's the enthusiasm.....you've got a shiney new stadium, assembalance of a team , ok one of your coaches has defected to the Rah Rah boys but you didn't have him last season anyway.

Was surprised your not back in training yet after all effectively your season was over last may so i would have thought the powers that be would have had them in earlier.

For once Marshy1 has got a point, the doom and gloom mongering is pretty bad on this board.

Nobody was going to turn our team into top eight contenders after the awful job McRae and HIS team did in pre-season last year. How that chump has the nerve to show his face on TV as an 'expert' is beyond is me.

Going off the noises Parrish made on taking over as head coach, I'm expecting a much fitter and stronger Salford team next season. Without getting Feka off the books, the next best thing is getting him back to his destructive best. It is possible, provided he's conditioned properly. Then it's just a case of speeding up our play the ball, and if they get on the front foot, the talent is definitely present in the backline next season.

Moon could really be the key to creating more tries for Broughton. He might not possess the flair of Ratchford, but I'm expecting him to be a damn sight better defensively and a more orthodox creative centre. If he doesn't end up playing in the backrow.

The only thing I'm down about is that Marshy is still stealing oxygen from us decent human beings.

Doom & gloom is human nature and our fan's nature. You only have to look on here to see that. When everything's going smoothly (as smoothly as it can for Salford) this forum is DEAD! - No one has much positive to say about anything. When there's problem's, everyone and his dog is scare mongering.

In our defence, were not stupid, most of us know when someone can only talk the talk, we've experienced enough of that with SM over the last 4 year's to last any supporter a life time. Secondly, were a fragile lot, who now expect the worse.... A shame with such a broad horizon ahead of us but certinaly not a surprise.

At this stage of the season where do they train? Might if its possible and go watch them as I'm off all week.

Can't image much going on apart from players running around so much they make themselves ill that what is going on by the sound of it...good news if you ask me

Im sorry but why are the players not all back at the same time? Why should some members of the team be training and others be sat on a beach back in AUS. It's not hard.

As mentioned elswhwere Moon and McPherson are late as they are daft enough to be getting married

Maybe others have contracts that say they do not have to come back for pre season till later as it always seemed to be under SM.
Either way you get the impression that Parish will make them all put in a decent pre season and get them much fitter, if only we had the money for the training camp that the Welsh RU team went on in Poland before the world cup as they were widely regaurded as being the fittest and best prepaired and the cryo treatment in Poland was reckoned to be a big factor in that.

And they only lost 3 out of 7 games too...well worth the money that was.

To be fair two by a point each and the help of a very dubious ref and being a man (not only the captain but best player too) isn't that bad.

A loss is a loss however anyone want's to dress it up.

2. The mellenium magic weekend will be the City of Manchester Stadium weekend.

3. The middle name of yesterdays ref is Bruce!
