I had a similar situation, resulted in a trip to the small claims court and a settlement in my favour.

As I posted earlier, KL's solicitor Richard Cramer was on Radio Manchester yesterday and the exact term he used was "accepted a repudiatory breach" - that is he was claiming that the club had broken the terms of Locke's contract in such a serious manner as to end the contract.

Tuesday next is going to be interesting!!

I trust Cramer all day long with his 25 plus years experience in RL players contracts when it comes to this issue, over Koukash and his 2 year experience as an owner.

It really depends on Locke's end game.
Does he want to establish a breach so that he can simply walk away and sign for someone else without a fee ?
Alternatively, is the alleged breach to be used as grounds for suing the club for specific performance of the contract ie paying him as originally agreed.
Probably a bit of both !

Well Cramer also said "KL has resigned while reserving his rights with respect to past & future losses"

Locke has posted on Facebook claiming he has not been paid for nearly 10 months and this combined with the fact "owner talking s**t about me" was why he left. These are as yet allegations and just his side of the story.

Im not sure how to post it. I cant upload an image on here. Also, I hope there arent any legal ramifications of me doing so considering this is an ongoing legal dispute.

If this is something legal im sure locke would keep this to himself. Also ive checked his fb and there is nothing unless your friends with him!

Another thought? Why would the club agree to his recent operation if they weren't paying him or had no plans for him to play for the club again?

Don't clubs have to pay for players medical expenses? It just doesn't making any sense to me all this.

How did he afford to live. Is his gf on that much money playing netball?
Im not having a go at Locke as i think he's been mis-treated but not being paid for 10 months doesnt quite add up.

at full time on Easter Monday after beating Wigan the first car trying to leave the car park was Locke and how did he pay for the petrol in is 4 wheel drive?

No,it certainly doesn't add up and I hope it's not true. As you say,difficult to believe someone would turn up to play if he's not paid for that long.
I just hope that the Doctor gives a frank presentation.
He called the Press Conference so he needs to be totally up front,as the days for rabble rousing are history.
I hope he realises that his credibility is on the line.

Totally agree. This press conference has to be concise and conducted in a professional manner. Points scoring and getting personal about players won't reflect well on the club.

Whilst I don't believe Locke hadn't been paid, I do question how the club has been getting round the salary cap. Could it be Locke expected to have a full three and a half year contract paid up after only two and a half with the final year paid up in full before being released a year early. This would make up his loss of earnings and ease pressure on the salary cap.

Now I'm not certain on the salary cap rules, but if a players contract is paid up in full and that player is released before the season begins, said players' salary doesn't count on the cap. I maybe wrong, but didn't Warrington release Hicks to sign Joel Monaghan, with Hicks paid up in full and his wage was no longer a factor on the salary cap?

Like I say, not certain on the rules, so please don't brutalise me if I'm wrong? However, I also have to question why the Warriors would sign Tomkins and release Locke. If Locke was going to make a full recovery from his injury they didn't need Tomkins, or was his behaviours causing problems for the Warriors too?

Locke's Twitter account seems to have been removed completely.

Just thinking back wasn't there rumors before we signed Locke that he had asked the Warriors for help clearing debt (possibly gambling I think)?

Could well be that the Doc has helped him out when he signed on the understanding it wasn't a gift more a loan.
