| MEN reporting Salford interest in Blythe. Wouldn't mind this signing to be honest to replace Gleeson or maybe rotate him in the back row. MEN also reports he's from Irlam, another shot in the arm for our local recruiting system then.

Born in Irlam.Unless you want the club to risk signing youngsters while they are still in nappies I don't think it feasible to develop players from [url=http://www.shannonstrust.org.uk/patron.php?title=Matty%20Blythea school system some miles away[/url May be a tad speculative.
[url=http://www.wb.warr.ac.uk/The school[/url
I don't think the cup winners played too many from their local recruiting system on Saturday - even with the best investor/best chairman/best planned stadium switch/best memorabilia from Wilderspool/best supporters who travel to Wigan/longest lasting most passionate supporters etc.who don't even complain if someone from the group of people running their club break wind out of key.

I'm sure - no thanks.
Much rather give a youngster a chance as never rated Platt at all.

Moon out, Platt in? Feck me that's just about the worst rugby league deal I can think of. Ever. Platt is e and one of those players I've always wanted to slap because he's a c0ck as well, would hate to see him back in a Salford shirt.
Can't blame Moon though he's far too good to be plying his trade at our club. IMO, the best centre I've seen at Salford in the last 23 years. Utter class. Just hope he does go back to the NRL as would hate to see him destroying us for another SL club. With regards Blythe, I can't really comment as not seen enough of him to make a balanced judgment.
It makes me cry when I look at our first choice backline earlier this season and think how good it could've been with a decent pack in front of it. Patten, Broughton, Moon, Gleeson, Williams, Holdsworth, Smith. Can't remember the last time I was so excited about watching Salford as an attacking force. Especially when you take the Long factor into account. It's criminal that it has been ripped to shreds after 1 season.

Think there's a mistake in that report as it says two quality players and then mentions Platt. Would add nothing to the squad for me.
For me we should be looking for a sizable fee for Moon as he is a top quality player, been a privilage to watch him at times this season.

| Also, according to [iLeague Express[/i, Veivers has to wait until new investment is secured before he can recruit for next season. He believes movement on this is imminent, however.

You'd hope that was to see if they have a bigger than expected budget.
Christ with Patten, Houldsworth and Feka gone there can only be Moon left on a high wage. With the wise promotion of the youngsters an addition of a class all I'd want to see is a couple of big unit forwards.

Which presumably means that if Cronulla want him they now have to pay a transfer fee?
Terrific player to watch, when he plays!, but that doesn't seem too often on this season's evidence - have we just got another injury prone Aussie or has he genuinely had a run of bad luck?

That may be the case and hopefully it is. Yet the wording of the article insinuates that without new investment, there's no budget.

I don't know. I would expect it means he can't wriggle out of his contract with Salford, who will keep his registration. So perhaps the situation is similar to James Jiminez's in 2008, in that if he wants to go home, he can't play for anyone during the remainder of his contract.

still Plying his trade in the Illawarra League's for Steelharbour Workers RLFC 1st grade .. where he feels at home
Notice He was playing against a team with a half-back pairing of Nathan & Blake Dureau , who play for Wests Illawarra nicknamed the Red Devils ... presumably related to Catalans' Scott.

not that I've heard , but he's a goal kicking stand off or centre and he's pretty much back in Saint's 20's at present , he's young and not Australian, 2 + points.
only others mentioned :-
Full back Matty Russell on season loan from Wigan
linked with the Warrington's Irlam born 2nd Row/Centre Matty Blythe.
