| Fooks sake. Just enjoy the ride instead of getting your knickers in a twist. There's no point in getting outraged like some Daily Mail reader on gay marriage. We, by all measures, shouldn't have a team or a Club to support. The fact that we do is a bonus. There's never a dull moment at Salford. Whether you agree with the decisions or not, just support the players and we'll see where it goes eh?

| never a dull moment being a salford fan.
As the butcher notes if it weren't for the doc we wouldn't have a club or team to support.
Certainly keeps us in the headlines, but I would have liked longer than 24 hours to go from ecstatic after yesterday's result to slightly concerned .....

Butcher,not knickers in a twist.
You're right,we shouldn't have a club.but that doesn't mean we need to touch our fore locks all the time.
But we do have a club and, whilst I'm very much enjoying the ride, I don't think that the Doctor has immunity from criticism.
Noble deserved longer. He was only one win off where we expected to be and was unfortunate enough to be without his two biggest marquee signings.
Shame.
PS how did you know I read the Daily Mail ?

Reading between the lines you think he might have done, the interviews and quotes from him after last nights win seems a lot less descriptive and up beat than normal.

Agreed. Koukash has done unbelievable things for the club and hopefully will continue to do so but it doesn't mean we should suspend common sense when assessing the decisions he makes.

| I wasn't aiming my post at anyone in particular. I didn't say the Dr should be immune from criticism. I didn't say we should be grateful for the fact that we have a Club.
I simply stated that everyone has an opinion, and few have one that know the ins and outs of everything at the club. It's fine to speculate and debate, that's why the forum exists. I just find it amazing that opinion over facts seem to count for something. All we can do is speculate, but as long as we recognise that that is all it is, everything will work itself out.
People need to chill somewhat...

I'll be forever grateful to Koukash for ensuring we have a club whatever happens in the future.
I don't really get your point about fact and opinion. It's surely not wild speculation (lost dressing room stuff aside) to form opinions (right/wrong to sack etc) about the day's events?

I just meant that I find it amazing that some people get a little excited over their own opinions and ideas. Which is fine if they're based on facts and not speculation. It was aimed more at those individuals spread over many threads who have already made their mind up about the how and why without really knowing anything. Rather than those debating the ins and outs.

| An important question in my eyes is who is actually advising the Doc on this? OK maybe he could see for himself that Noble wasn't working but more importantly who has advised him that he thinks Harris will be what we are looking for.
It will also for me be interesting to see who Harris picks as his back room staff, odd that we apparently got rid of Dolan last week when Noble was so close to the trap door, I think you'll see Harris go for a wiser old head as his number 2 who can offer advise based on his experience.

| Lets just put things into perspective. Would Harris have won the same games this season as Noble has? The answer is probably, so we won't be anywhere worse off. Noble hasn't set the world alight here and has made a couple of dubious signings, which perhaps the Doc isn't happy with. Plus if he's lost the dressing room its best for all concerned. It still seems harsh regardless.

| Would guess Mathew Elliott will be looking for a job over here soon as his expensively assembled NZ Warriors were hammered 37-6 by lowly Cronulla this morning.
Remember him? He fell off his seat when watching that great `Wide to West` try for Saints against Bradford.

| The only facts we are privy to is that Noble was offered an alternative job, and as such opinion on the rights and wrongs of that decision are valid and worthy of debate. All the other stuff is opinion on speculation and therefore much less credible as topics to discuss.
What I would say is that we criticised the old regime for lack of decisive action when it was needed, we endured McRae for years because action would not be taken. What I do know is that in business (and the club is a business) if you need to make tough decisions, take them quickly and act decisively. Clearly the Doc has done that, whether we agree with his actions or not.
I will add my own bit of speculation, I guess that Hansen and Hock were asked about Harris as a coach having played at Wigan.
To all those who moaned about the appointment of Noble, who now appear to be upset by his demise, I would say successful business men do not make rash decisions based on spur of the moment thoughts, they weigh up the issues and options and then take action. Let the Doc get on with it after all he is a successful businessman.

Yes, its a business in that it is a professional unit that makes (or loses) cash, but, like all sports clubs, it is unique in that you need somebody who fully understands the sport itself and be able to make decisions accordingly.
At this point in time, Salford need Koukash to get himself a very good adviser to make those decisions for him, instead of what seems to be happening, in that the guy is playing a very realistic (and expensive) game of Rugby League Manager.
The one good thing for Koukash at the moment, is that he seems to have enough cash and enthusiasm to be able to afford several silly looking decisions and that eventually he will come across the right combination of good coach and good team - The biggest problem for you fans is if Koukash doesn't get some success quickly enough for his liking and gets a bit fed up waiting.
By giving a very experienced, proven coach like Noble just 7 games with a newly assembled team, Koukash seems to be indicating that he isn't in this for some patient team building exercise?

| The Doc is entitled to hire & fire as it is his business, however I do have concerns that he continues to conduct the clubs business by a social media, when I read his feed early last evening I assumed Brian Noble was fully supportive & had accepted the changes (clearly Not)
I would suggest the Doctor should release is redundant PR machine as it is not needed.
I will be forever grateful for saving our great clubs heritage, however all successful businesses & successful sports businesses are built on stability & there is a way business matters are conducted in private & released at the appropriate times, not by social media.
I am not a Noble fan, however I do not agree with the changes at the present moment, I agree he as the right to make such changes, but please Mr Koukash stop making these changes by social media & release in the right manner with respect to all individuals involved.
