Ben Barba yes he's having a cracking season for the Dogs since they moved him from half back to full back, I'd go as far as saying I'd guess he was even the clubs top scorer. That said I watched LP over the years and I for one am delighted the general came to Salford make no mistake he is/was one of the NRL's best fullbacks !

I don't see many better at Fullbacks in SL than Patten. Although, if he has one downside, he seems little weak for the last line of defence. Definitely no Kris Radlinski, but he makes up for it with his attacking class.

Ben Barba is quality, also, and tipped to be Slater's replacement in the Queensland team.

Anyway, I was talking to a Wiganer who claimed to know Ratchford's dad. It seems that they have offered him a 3 year deal and it seems like a done deal! The main comment was "he's a Wigan lad!"

Can't really blame him wanting to play for his hometown club who just happen to be champions! What will set Ratch apart if this is true will be his attitude and effort for the rest of this season. If he puts his body on the line for us right thru then I will happily say thank you and good luck!!!!

Last thing we need is any Coley like antics!!! Don't think Ratch is made that way tho!!!!

It's good that there seems to be a good spirit amongst the lads though.

Never said it was gospel, just adding to the info that some people had posted and saying that you could understand the lads position. If you read my post carefully the use of the words "claimed to know his dad" and "If this is true" would of course show that I had not just swallowed it like a naive teenager!

I do think we need to show Ratch what he means to the club and fans but still be prepared for the lad to move on considering the career move it could be and his hometown club.
