| Wouldn't say no to Wheeler or Gaskell until end of season but I just can't see us bringing anyone else in. The more likely scenario is Longy or as is going to happen this weekend Sneyd. I'd much rather have Sneyd in than put Howarth at 6 & DJ at 7. DJ is in brilliant form at 6 where he gets more time and his defence is unbelievable at the moment!

I know what I am about to say isn’t relevant for this thread so apologies in advance.
Why is it that everywhere I turn on this forum you are popping you with negative comments all the time, I know it’s frustrating at times being a Salford fan but there is no need for this constant barrage of negativity. All you are succeeding in doing is winding everybody up further and making us all feel worse than we already do.
I know you are entitled to your opinion but unless its positive or a valid opinion of some sort then please don’t say anything at all because I imagine I am not the only one who is getting abit fed up of it.
I come on this forum for a couple of reasons, the main one being the love of the club and don’t want to read your predictable depressing comments everywhere I look.
Players come and players go, we will move on as a club.
Apologies everybody, I had to get this off my chest.

You could make him a foe or just ignore him, as most people do with Dantes ([isic[/i) Inferno [iet al[/i. All you'd be missing would be some barely readable variation on "Wah! Boo hoo! Something's wrong and someone, somewhere should do something about it".

| Someone on facebook site has posted that they are friends with a warrington player who has told them that solomona is on his way to us for next year......hope not!!
Seems to be a noticable lack of rumours regarding our recruitment for next year. Lets hope we are being quietly efficient behind the scenes and that its not a case of struggling to attract anyone

| I'd take Solomona as he adds a bit of grunt to the pack. If we can manage his weight he's a class player with the hands of a halve.

| Ryan Brierley has confirmed he leaving Cas, appears to have stood out at Championship level. I think he may well be on Vievers radar. Not sure of his best position thought half back / full back. I would rather have this kid than someone like Wellens / Mathers / McGoldrick.

I believe he's scored another hat-trick tonight for Leigh!

He's also signed a 2 year deal already there. But with the inclusion that if any SL side wants him he's free to leave.

| I'd be very happy to sign Brierley as always thought he looked like a good quality half and can cover a couple of other positions which is always a bonus. You'd also think we'd not have to break the bank to get him either.

| MEN reporting Salford interest in Blythe. Wouldn't mind this signing to be honest to replace Gleeson or maybe rotate him in the back row. MEN also reports he's from Irlam, another shot in the arm for our local recruiting system then.

Born in Irlam.Unless you want the club to risk signing youngsters while they are still in nappies I don't think it feasible to develop players from [url=http://www.shannonstrust.org.uk/patron.php?title=Matty%20Blythea school system some miles away[/url May be a tad speculative.
[url=http://www.wb.warr.ac.uk/The school[/url
I don't think the cup winners played too many from their local recruiting system on Saturday - even with the best investor/best chairman/best planned stadium switch/best memorabilia from Wilderspool/best supporters who travel to Wigan/longest lasting most passionate supporters etc.who don't even complain if someone from the group of people running their club break wind out of key.

I'm sure - no thanks.
Much rather give a youngster a chance as never rated Platt at all.

Moon out, Platt in? Feck me that's just about the worst rugby league deal I can think of. Ever. Platt is e and one of those players I've always wanted to slap because he's a c0ck as well, would hate to see him back in a Salford shirt.
Can't blame Moon though he's far too good to be plying his trade at our club. IMO, the best centre I've seen at Salford in the last 23 years. Utter class. Just hope he does go back to the NRL as would hate to see him destroying us for another SL club. With regards Blythe, I can't really comment as not seen enough of him to make a balanced judgment.
It makes me cry when I look at our first choice backline earlier this season and think how good it could've been with a decent pack in front of it. Patten, Broughton, Moon, Gleeson, Williams, Holdsworth, Smith. Can't remember the last time I was so excited about watching Salford as an attacking force. Especially when you take the Long factor into account. It's criminal that it has been ripped to shreds after 1 season.

Think there's a mistake in that report as it says two quality players and then mentions Platt. Would add nothing to the squad for me.
For me we should be looking for a sizable fee for Moon as he is a top quality player, been a privilage to watch him at times this season.

| Also, according to [iLeague Express[/i, Veivers has to wait until new investment is secured before he can recruit for next season. He believes movement on this is imminent, however.

You'd hope that was to see if they have a bigger than expected budget.
Christ with Patten, Houldsworth and Feka gone there can only be Moon left on a high wage. With the wise promotion of the youngsters an addition of a class all I'd want to see is a couple of big unit forwards.
