| Given the squad you have assembled which certain teams can only dream about, you should be looking at top 4 rather than thinking pooints deduction you would have scraped into the top 8.
I agree with some things the good Dr says but he thought he could get away with it and didnt. Whos to say he hasnt tried to do it again for his 2016 squad.
No offence here, but with your squad these middle 8s should have been a walk in the park

| After results today it certainly is looking bleak for Salford. I hate to say it but if you guys go down i can see the club disappearing without Marwan. Something drastic needs to change and you need to get out of that ground ASAP.

| The 8's are a great way of ensuring that if a championship team gets promoted it will be better than the relegated team, it also ensures the RFL get the magical 20 clubs to reintroduce licences within two tens and P&R

| It is certainly looking like the end now, a few of us went out after the game and we all said the same it very much felt like it at FT. We gave it a good send off in Eccles afterwards anyway.
Funeral attire at Batley next week, on a serious note it's devastating to think it might actually be the last time this great club will play again.

| Agree Solly: I remember watching the clock count down whilst thinking 20 minutes of rugby in Salford left... 15 minuts of rugby in Salford left... etc.
The doomsayers who have questioned our right to SL based on number of attending supporters, standards of play, and actions of owner, will be feeling very smug. What they forget is that, should the club fold, we're not all going to Leigh, Warrington or Wigan. You'll lose a lot of us,

| Iv'e seen us lose badly but Saturday was the lowest iv'e felt being a Salford fan. Full credit to London though, that was a great performance by them. They arrived late to the ground and still manage to pull off a great win. The only players i can say that had a decent game was Jones and kopczak. Josh Griffin shouldn't be anywhere near that team as soon as he announced his move to Hull.
If we go down, and Marwan wants to stay at the club, will he get the fans backing. He criticized the fans for not turning up recently and that for me was the final straw.
we had crowds at home games when the team was doing well but after the minus 6 points it dropped dramatically. Bad news after bad news who can blame the fans for not coming.
I hope this isnt the end of the road for Salford but if he goes and there isn't a backer willing to take the club on IF we get relegated then i really do fear its the end for us.

| I dont post on here very often, mostly because for a supposed forum most people on here arent really that interested in other peoples opinions, although I do like to visit regularly. You do find out the odd bit of "insider" info that isnt always available to the general Rugby League public, you can read some of the interesting rumours that pop up now and then and generally get a feel for how our fans and the fans of other clubs feel about whats happening at my club. I'm pretty downhearted by how our season is ending/ended and it is difficult to stay optimistic for our prospects in the MPG (which despite everything im sure we will still make) given how obviously low on confidence the players and most of the staff in and around the club seem to be. What I am sick and tired of reading about are the unforgivable reasons some so called supporters are giving for staying away at a time like this. People talk about the move to Barton and how this signalled the beginning of the end due to its inaccessibility and general soulessness. Well for those that talk about its inaccessibility I would like to point out that its 3 miles from Weaste! Im not suggesting that everyone walk it but how much extra effort does it really require from supporters. I live in North Wales and I work in Stoke and so far ive only missed 1 home game this season due to family reasons. I dont expect the same pat on the back that it seems some of our supporters do for coming either. I choose to do it because Its MY CLUB. It seems to me that if more people were willing to get up off there then the ground wouldnt seem so lifeless either. I understand that getting away from the ground can be a problem at times, but really the more local supporters should by now know the ways round getting away from the game in a bit more timely manner. And in all honesty from what i heard its far less painful these days anyway. It isnt really the clubs fault that the relief road still isnt ready after all this time, My understanding is that they have done pretty much all they can. I get the impression that a good proportion of so called Salford "Fans" basically only want to watch a winning team, that plays at the end of there road, with a multi millionaire owner who bank rolls the club at a loss, but never rocks the boat, keeps quiet and indeed is grateful for any fan deeming to grace the ground with there presence. People are entitled to spend there money however they chose, But can we please remember that the club, for better or worse, are there for our benefit, not the other way around. Im not from Manchester, nor am I from a place near Manchester. I am from Salford. We have our share of detractors, but it is my experience that on the whole Salfordians are proud of being from Salford. and i a time when our cultural and social identity as Salfordians is being eroded more now than ever, why people wpuld let the cities only elite proffessional sporting club dissapear forever is beyond me. If people are happy to let the club dissapear out of existsnce due to bloody mindedness and laziness then maybe we dont deserve a club at all. The team this year on the whole have been competitive and good to watch. The issues that have come to light resulting in us scrapping for survival rent the players fault. These lads deserve more than they are getting from Big sections of the Salford Support. Sorry for the rant but I needed to get this off my chest. Hope weve still got a club to talk about next year.

| NO PROBLEM with your posr: Stoke.
I am on good terms with a fan from Hebden Bridge and one from Preston: neither miss many games. Equally, I know other Rochdale dwellers who make many games.
See you at Batley

| The only way Marwan can get out of the A.J Bell is to get relegated,a move then to the ground opposite the Etihad.A re-brand as Manchester Red Devils rent would be a fraction of the cost just what i overheard at the London game.

Do you see City allowing a team with a name associated with their fierce rivals to use their facilities?

Absolutely spot on City bought into Hyde United at a time they were on the verge of the Conference League.
They changed the club colours from red to blue they then changed their name to Hyde FC dropping United.
Then when the City Academy came on stream they walked away leaving Hyde now in the Northern Premier league.

| The stadia opposite the Etihad is nothing to do with City, it's the 'Manchester Regional Area', part of Sport City.
The only issue with moving there is does it have any office space or hospitality, I'm not sure if does.
So ok it's a playing venue but where would we use as our "base"?
If we are really to break free from the AJ and stay in Salford, the only real option I see is to go into a joint venture with Swinton at Agectoft if it ever gets built.
Providing Swinton want to after all their ground work and the council would let us after leaving the AJ.

| There's also FC United's ground in Moston where the Manchester Red Devil brand would be welcomed. Salford has gone now, the only way Salford could build from the ground and upwards is to share Swinton's future stadia, however, until that becomes available We're in street and in the same boat as our neighbours. Who'd of thought it eh, after witnessing our closest neighbours struggle due to selling of their home and ridicule their support and club, and yet how ironic this could be that Salford could well end up negotiating with a begging bowl about joining a new corporate ventured stadium. How things can change eh. Deary, Deary me.

| Too the tune of 'Fields Of Athenry' Quite a sad tearful song. And very true
Against the Gasworks wall
I heard a young boy calling
Wilky you are leaving the Willows astray
For your pockets of unpaid bills
Your council mates have laundered the thrills
and built the big white elephant down Trafford way.
Low lie the field at Willows Road
Where once we graced the great Risman soar
We had fielding on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
Glory down the field at Willows Road.
Against the Willows wall
I heard a young boy calling
For Salford sold its pride and all its soul
to a greedy bent on changing rules
He rebelled and brought us down
points deduction to shut up the clown
Now its lonely down the fields down Willows Road
Low lie the fields of willows road
where once we graced the great Risman soar
We had Fielding on the wing
with dreams and songs to sing
Glory down the fields of Willows Road
By a lonely Batley wall
The boy watched the last try falling
All the fans all know we die
If we lose this crucial tie
Its so lonely down the field at Willows road.
Low lie the fields of willows road
Where once we graced the Great Risman soar.
We had Fielding on the wing
With dreams and songs to sing
Glory down the fields of Willows Road.

We're not at the Willows, and while it's nice to look back fondly, it doesn't do us any good right now.

It was full of milk and honey, Salford owned it compared to that stinking white elephant what was built with laundered monies we can't even afford to rent, Salford are insolvent to run on their own business This wasn't the case at the land of milk and honey, we were just about solvent and had the prospects of doing what Widnes did and upgraded one stand at a time but Artur Daley was that bent he could fit behind a drill bit, and he swindled us to . Haha the land of sewage and Sale..Where he's been banned from. What a jolly good fella. Hahahahaha

I'm not searching for anything. it's just that some things are really obvious. A bucket full of irony when a flat earth creationist calls someone paranoid. Keep on running Forrest!
I just happened to comment on your general dreariness and 'everything was better' at the willows dribble that's all. Well it wasn't matey. Not in our lifetimes. It's always been this way for a generation. Same old cycle of mistakes and poor choices.

| Detective Inspector Butcher spot on in outing Foxtrot Echo. He`s back Ladies & Gentlemen despite his ban and bitter vitriole - yet again - re Wilkie.
I will just say 1 thing about his misinformation about JAW (yes I am still one of his supporters as I have seen in black & white what he put in over the years) - John & Howard LOST £1.8 million on the RCD deal. I don`t even remember Arthur Daley losing a set of car keys.
