i might have gone over the top last night which i am sorry for but it was just a spur of the moment thing and my temper took over my head which like i said i am sorry for!!and a quick message to all the fans on here who slag me off for what i said are pathetic bacuse im the one that goes home and away week in week out where as i know a lot off people on here dont so theses fans who only go to home games because they cant be bothered going away and i know alot of people are going to reply to this saying we do go away but for those who dont go away but have got the cheek to slag me off we get around 3-4 thousand at home and 500 away what does that tell you for some of the fans on here....if you do go home and away then fair play you have your opinion against me but if you can only be bothered going once every 2 weeks dont bother slagging me off and try and go home and away!!!! as i said i am sorry for what happened last night and we will take it from there

The sooner the likes of Callumisared and Ave it! along with a few other people? are no longer associated with the club the better for all concerned.

The outburst's that they both appear to be admitting to are are an absolute disgrace and they should ashamed of themselves and there is not one decent fan that I have spoken to recently who want this type of person to support the club or even belong to the Forever Reds.

The problem with people like these is that you cannot have a normal discussion with them at any time unless they get tanked up beforehand and it is quite strange when some of their targets are actually in attendance at meetings etc how quiet these people are.

No one is entitled to verbally abuse anybody whether they have paid to watch a match or not and the length of time that some people have been supporting the club(5YRS) is nothing and again does not entitle them to verbally abuse, threaten, or physically assault people(which throwing a pint of beer is)

For what it is worth the players, coaches,officials, directors other staff and supporters are working hard for the club what are these people doing?

The coaches make errors, so do the players, and so do we all but these pale into insignificance compared with damage that the likes of Callumisared and Ave it! are doing with their stupid comments and actions.

Absolutely right - some of the posts on here recently have been well over the top - we can all criticise and disagree but to resort to vile personal abuse is never justified and completely counter productive - perhaps some people think it's funny to refer to "the slug" -certainly doesn't make me laugh or have any respect whatever for those who do it.

Dear Callum.......

a lot of the posters, have been going 'home and away' for some 40+ years, just like me.

We've seen it all in that space of time..............from the finest side never to win a major trophy, to heartbreaking semi-final defeats, fantastic 'against all odds wins', and yes, rugby just as poor as you are witnessing at the moment.

It's all part of being a Salford fan.

Don't expect too much, even IF your still going 'home and away' 20 odd years from now. It just might never happen.

I'll forgive your rant, as I want us all to pull together, whatever the outcome.
Just a word of warning though, personal abuse will not be forgiven if it persists, because the truly loyal Salford fans are totally sick to death of it. It's not helping one bit.
So, either put up with what you get from our beloved club, or, give up following Salford.

Calm down everyone! What Callumisared has done is wrong, to abuse the coach the way he did and then post about it is utterly stupid.
I remember when i was 18 many moons ago and there were plenty times i said and did things under the influence that i regretted in the morning.Young people make mistakes but its how they learn from them that counts. He has come out and apologised and he should apologise to the club and coach as well.(i don't think he abused JW?)At the end of the day he has not Killed,injured or hit anyone and i think the coach will have a lot more things to worry about than what a drunken 18 year old has said! To start to talk of banning people for one mistake is wrong. I think a warning and a stern talking to is much more appropriate.
The club and coach have to except criticism but it must be done in the right way and through the right channels. This is why we should all join Forever reds to discuss things properly.
The young lads who post on here are very passionate about the club and are not the devils that they have been painted out to be. They all should be encouraged to show that passion in a more positive way.
Lets not all fall out with each other at this difficult time. We all must get behind the club and the coach till the end of the season. Rant over!

us young ones ARE PASSIONATE about the club and have not experienced the good times like the 80s and early 90s which we have been told about by family who have brought us up to support salford and to this day we still do... and would love to go through the experience they have been through with salford in the 1990s winning the premiership final against halifax with 50,000 + fans turning out... this is why we come on here saying the things we do because where passionate about this club and want to experience what my family as experience while being a salford
fan... yes i was absolutely buzzing when we made the play off and just want to go through this experience again like ever single one of us on here lets just stick togerther and get through this ruff patch and hopefuly in the near future salford will be as big as us all want salford to be..

Salford won the 2ND DIVISION final against Halifax.The large majority of fans were there for the 1st division final which followed.The 80s and 90s were not particularly good times for Salford,although we did have brief decent spells, and the crowds weren't great either.The last time Salford had a team to compete regularly with the best was the Watkins/Gill/Hesketh etc,era of the early to mid seventies.Believe me,as someone who has watched Salford for well over 40 years,this team is nowhere near the worse I've seen.
Since the 70s all Salford's successes have come at the lower level,2nd division titles,2nd division premiership finals,promotions and play-off finals to Super League.
That's the nature of the club we support.No major title for over 40 years,always struggled in the top division,too good for the lower division.
Salford will only become a "big" club,competing regularly with the best,if they can get more income into the club either through increased attendances,the new stadium,or a Mr Moneybags taking over the club.
In the meantime be thankful we have John Wilky as chairman or we could be like Swinton or Oldham,both former "big" clubs,but now struggling.

i understand the frustration and anger off fans slagging off players & staff.i for one had and outburst with one off the players but thats due to personal reasons not rugby.rather than having a go at the players attend the meetings that salford organise where players and coach answer the fans.im there week in and week out and i get frustrated but the more the fans go bitter the players do.i mean look at the difference when we was playing wigan in the cup,we was on a high now fans cant wait for it to be season to be over.the only thing that annoys me is that we dont get told alot about whats happening at the club.we find out stuff from 3rd partys.once the board buckle up then i think the fans will get behind the team alot more and the shed will be rocking.

I think we'll draw a line under this thread. Rash comments were made, overreactions were posted and retractions came later. No one in their right mind comes on the Turkey if they don't support the club. Well, no one in their right mind supports Salford. But we'll all be there on Friday.
