Do not give me any sh!!te about Manchester being a soccer city. How many local kids can pay to get into city or united i am guesssing £500 for a season ticket. You can easily compete on price, excitement and with a few decent players really make inroads.
Salford, i would suggest you link up with United and become MURL. That will give you a huge level of publicity and access to markets which will make you stronger. If that is unpalatable to the blue half then you should become the Manchester mutants and become a Manchester team to get the support in.
I love salford and going there from the days i saw Keith fielding playing. But you are losing the opportunity to develop, holding RL back and unless you get the stadium will be out of SL. Rl needs Manchester and whether that is Salford or someone else then so be it.'"

we were very poor that day and you can only beat whats in front of you,
salford were drawn away against fellow SL opponents in wigan and lost
we were drawn away against fellow SL opponents in harlequins and thrashed them no point in crying over it

We were poor but we had our chances but didnt take them Huddesfield imo were there to be had but not being active enough and being reactive on the field we paid the price once again, cant keep turning over ball on our opponents try line and giving away silly penalties to releave the pressure and expect to win.
As for smith being the worst salford player of all time he is no where near, he was playing out of possition behind a beaten pack so dont expect miricules yet, Paul Carage,Mark Corvo and Craig Makin and Mick Burn are way way way out in frount on that score.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but to come on here crowing about "bagging" him since before the start of the season is not something I'd expect a proper fan to do...if you dont like him and dont rate him then that's fine, lot's of people don't rate half of our squad...the difference being the majority of people don't abuse their "right" to give them grief, or glory in it as you seem to do. |
