| Enjoy the 2 points and a good win, more important than a 4k crowd on a cold night against very little away support on Valentines night in a televised game.
I like Salford RLFC, welcome back.

| To put the crowd in context for the hard of thinking - that crowd was 600 (17%) [uup[/u on our last televised Saturday Superelague game (v Bradford Bulls). Saturday evenings have always been poorly attended and when this game was switched we suspected it would probably be out worst crowd of the season - if 4026 turns out to be our lowest then it's a step in the right direction.

| It amazes me why supporters of Hull and Hull KR plus any others who jump on the badnwgaon, would be bothered with salford's attendances or that of any other club for that matter.
So a crowd of just over 4000, well how shocking!! As a Salford supporter, I really don't give a damn what any other clubs attendances are.
Why not focus on your own clubs.
I am sure no one would have expected a massive crowd last night, not with a club with zero travveling support (aplogies to any Celtic fans who did go!)

| What is it with Hull fans on here and their obsession with attendances? You guys pop up all over the place and comment on how many turn up to games. Are you like the trainspotters of RL or something? Out with your little notebooks and writing down numbers?
Well done Salford on your first win back in SL!

| Something that it strikes me not really being mentioned is the fact that Wales were playing England in the 6 nations at virtually the same time. And anyone worth his salt understands the importance that fixture has in the eyes of the Welsh sporting public as a whole never mind the floating rugby fans who enjoy both codes (as there is indeed many), what could potentially have been a bonus was for the Welsh fans not lucky enough to have been at the game in Cardif to continue watching good rugby on the TV when the game finished, it's just unfortunate that CC didnt start the game of anything like I suspect they will play like a little further down the line.
Seems to me a rank bad idea on the part of Sky and maybe the clubs to play the game on a Saturday that coincided with Valentines day and the 6 nations.

Ironic that you chose to end your post with the words "embarrassing myself" because yes, you are.
To be honest I was a little disappointed by our attendance last night. After the opening games of last season when we got much bigger gates than expected against the likes of Swinton I did hope we'd attract closer to 6k last night.
However, even that would've been low when compared to other SL crowds this weekend.
That said, as it's mainly Hull fans dishing out the abuse, I'd rather have 4000 fans that can support their team properly, rather than tens of thousands who think it's appropriate to pull the posts down or brawl with opposition fans on the pitch.
Who was it you were saying is a credit to the league?!?

This lot are priceless aren't they.
Judging by the fact you only beat us by 2 points the other week i bet your thankful celtic are in SL proping up the table as if they weren't maybe you would be.
Now take your brain cell off to Bradford!

| Do not worry about the trolls. If you keep playing the way you did last night you will maintain the support you have got and build on it.
i am looking forward to my trip over. I enjoy going to salford

| BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet most of us expected somewher near I said on the way to the game to expect 4000.
Yes we get poor crowds always have and always will compared to the majority of the league. As long as over the next 3 years we can develop a stronger youth system ensuring more english players, move into a new ground, be a competitive team who aren't just there to prop up the table I couldn't give a rats if we don't set the world alight with our attendances

just because you we're board there's no need to boar everyone else by stating the bleeding obvious.
why oh why do you bother to discuss everything that happens of the field and ignore the best thing our game has to offer the actual game.
you are boring.

| 1. Valentines Day
2. 7.30 KO Saturday evening
3. Televised live on Sky
I know loads of people who were affected by the above constraints last night and I am sure others are the same. Last night will be our lowest crowd of the season and if that is the case then we are improving and thats all you can ask for.

I`m realistic rather than embarrassed about the attendance , If i`d mentioned we were going to get 7000 at the Willows last night I would have been laughed out of the room..

| roll on global warming just an 11 inch average rise in sea level would see Hull disappear of the map, that would be my worry if i lived in Hull not what a team playing 133 feet above sea level first match of the seasons attendance was.
Also the club didn't count all those in the variety centre Capacity 1000 or the other two suites that were full.
but we won we have two points we have something to build on and for once we played very well on TV.
