Oh, forgot to say, 1-1 draw at home to Buxton for FC yesterday. Poor performance, really.

Salford City suffered their second defeat in three days to promotion hopefulls Newcastle Blue Star by going down 1-2 at Moor Lane with the visitors scoring the winner just six minutes from time. With games now running out and with just one league win all season the situation is looking
worse every week.

Thanks for the compliment CC No 1 Fan. Whether it's Salford City FC or Salford City Reds who are going through a poor run then you have to stick with it and continue to support your team. Anyone can support a winning side and it's only when times are tough do you find out who the real fans are.
I'm looking forward to the two Friday night games against Harlequins and St.Helens as well as three succesive away trips with the Ammies to Lancaster City, Wakefield and Durham City.

Well finally our second league win of the season with an amazing 5-3 win at sixth placed promotion candidates Lancaster City! Steve Foster bagged all five goals in a superb second half performance which sent the vociferous travelling fans into scenes of wild delight. Absolutely brilliant day out which was just the tonic for me after Friday night at the Willows!
Next trip with the Ammies at Wakefield on Tuesday night ko 7:45 pm.

It's a good clubhouse at Wakefield... I didn't see much of the second half when we went there.

Disappointing 2-1 loss away at Matlock yesterday for FC United. Had countless chances, including Carlos Roca clean through one-on-one with the Matlock 'keeper. Couldn't put any away, we paid the price with some slack defending right at the death. The winning goal literally came from the last kick of the match. Matlock missed a penalty, too, but that was justice. The ref gave handball, when the big black ball mark on the defender's shirt clearly showed it had hit his chest - something the whole crowd could see, even the Matlock supporters around us.

Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Just back from Wakefield and I'm totally shellshocked

After drawing 1-1 at half-time and looking comfortable the Ammies somehow finished up on the wrong side of an 8-1 defeat

After the mid-week disaster at Wakefield the Ammies regained some pride at Championship favourites Durham City on their plastic pitch in gale-force conditions by narrowly going down to a 1-2 defeat.



Another away game to come at Rossendale United on Tuesday 7:45 pm.

FC won 2-0 yesterday against Frickley. Next game is on Tuesday night away to North Ferriby.

Irlam FC picked up a point away to Chadderton. 10th draw of the season. Currently 7th in the league.
