I think both are fantastic players with fire in their bellies, i have a feeling Feka will be Neil Baynes mark 2 ( 10 minutes of world class forward play 10-30m out against a unorganised line 10 minutes bent in half gasping for air and dropping of tackles)
Both love joining the tackle late both for different reasons one because it takes more energy and time away from the attacker bench pressing a 20 stone man before playing the ball and the other just loves smashing sitting ducks.
Korki was best in centre field eating up the metres and putting us in areas which hurt other teams, even though he had pan hands thats the nature of the beast make 20 yards or knock on.
Both need to be used correctly to get the benefit for the team rather than just given the ball too and ran straight into a welcoming committee 1st tackle
Would be a dream front row combo korki, cashmere, feka and jewitt, if it came im sure the words "salfords front row were domminated by..." would not get used.

Now I'm going to have to insist that you stop this immediately, talking such sense is not allowed. Korki is wonderfully described and yes think your right that front row combo would never be beasted by anything currently in SL. Also would give a wonderfully big broad sheild for Smith/Ratchford and Smith to work behind. Also if you think we've got LL playing at hooker next year that is on formidable formation.

Think it's slightly subjective to the people around him, it's immaterial as I doubt he's heading back to Salford but think the squad he'd have around him next season would afford him a much better platform to perform to the best of his abilities.

Wasn't he in top 5 metre gainers in the league when you had him.
Why do you think he is coming back to Salford? Haven't seen anything at Wakefield to say he is going.

| I'd give Korky a swerve. Flatters to deceive.
Promised alot with his pre-Salford form at Wakey - but never reproduced it.
Not for me!

The problem with Korki is when he played for us he uses his ball carrying arm as the 1st point of contact with the defender to push them out of the way, unfortunatley defenders get wise to this and in the tackle "attack" the ball rather than tackle the man and the ball turns into a bar of soap and squirts out in the collision.

Couldn't agree more, think Korki would have been well respected amongst his peers for his heart and desire. I'll say it again think Korki would cost us a great deal less in wages than Feka and offer probably more. And the bus drivers on Eccles New Road would be a lot happier

Sorry Dazzler I can't agree. I was a huge Korki fan during his brief spell with us but mainly for his 100% commitment in that team when 90% couldn't give a flying one, however, when it comes down to quality Palea'asina is streets ahead, the guy has represented New Zealand, played over 80 times for the NZ Warriors and has played over 120 time for Wiagn who are a few matches from being champions, you don't play in teams like that if you're not a good player.
What big team has ever shown an interest in Korki, (most) managers aren't stupid, he managed 8 games in the NRL and has since played for us, Wakey, Huddersfield and Cas, the best of which would be Huddersfield and even there he only managed 6 matches. He is a smashing bloke and I will always remember him for his 12 months hard work for us but he wasn’t as good as you make out.
Anyway as Feka has been signed as an impact prop then I suppose really any comparisons should be made with Haggerty and Leuluai and I'll guarantee he'll do his job better than those two! (again no disrespect to Big Phil another lovely fella)
Oh and believe me Korki was not cheap, his wages were very high.
Sorry for the rant mate!

| Kordidas
seem to remember he made alot of peoples ' Pack of the Decade ' when Iain ran those back in March .
Also remember he was voted player of the year the season he was here too .
He made 3189 Metres and 19 errors in his 27 games for us
That would make him one of the top 4 metre gainers this year with those stats.
maybe some revisionism going on here as he was pretty good for us .

I fully agree with KOTS and can't believe what an inflated impression of Korkidas some people have?!
Korki did make yards but he then invariably cost us possession hence making his contribution useless!
He was also a bit of a turnstile in defence for a big fella, and a liability in the defensive line at times.
Lovely bloke mind!
I'll say again ..... Feka > Korki (by some distance!)

Think Korki is one of those players who thrives from being a bigger fish in a small pond, think his joy at playing for Salford was infectious and in 2007 think he was without doubt the best prop.
Do seriously doubt even if he was on a high wage that he will be on anything like what Feka is and also feel Feka will look much more ordinary in a Salford team than has when he has been surrounded by much better players in a very good Wigan outfit
As always KOTS your entitled to your opinion but also as always your wrong

Firstly that means nothing, some people who voted will have only seen 4 or 5 of those years and all it could prove is that we've had pants props for years. However for me Rutgerson, Cashmere, Stapo & Paul Highton would be in my team before him (and that's just off the top of my head).
Quote ="middleman" Also remember he was voted player of the year the season he was here too'"
It was the Junior Reds Player of the Year and Supporters Player of the Year award, funnily enough not the Players Player or Coaches Player, but even so there weren't many to choose from in that team?
Again I'm not trying to knock the lad just don't believe for one minutes he's as good as people make him out. For the record if we signed him back (which is always a bad thing) I wouldn't grumble.

| The only reason everyone loved Korki is because he had a couple of good fights that got the crowd going, if i remember one was in a friendly/start of season (i may be wrong). I personally thought he gave to many penalties away and was over paid.
