I'm sure referee Mr Silverwood and video ref Mr Bentham will be consistent on Friday night.

| Quote ="lou kate"Butcher,I think you will find that a shoulder charge is not a singularly automatic sending off.if you read the charge, the offence is for secondary contact with the head, which is debateable.
As regards " red tinted glasses " I personally just want fair play, and to give a head butting offence the same punishment, as the Tommy Lee offence, frankly beggars belief.'"
I didn't read the full charge. If what you say is right then I agree with you. Secondary head contact didn't happen.

I think we've come off pretty well considering all the charges raised. Tommy will be a big miss on friday though.

| The long forgotten Howarth to come back in?
Ready made scapegoat if we lose.
I wonder if Theo might run at hooker, Locke at fullback and Evalds in the halves.

And a player that was constantly being hit late after a kick including being shoulder charged that is not handled by the officials should also just stand there and take it?
Fair play to Salford. I thought a lot of the teams tactics where pretty close to ABH at times but if you can get away with it and it helps grind down the opposition then why not?
Don't try it against Leeds though, officials don't like Rhino's players being roughed up.

| I'd like to think that we could make the play offs, but I think it's too late especially on the back of being handed bans for our lads.
But if we don't there's always next season when we can hit the with "LOCKE, HOCK AND TWO SMOKING GRIFFINS".
Come on the lads.

He's getting old.
He remembers the 1923 Cup Final played at Garsworth between The Barrow Smelting lads association and Pontefract and District Mormon tree-felling Club. A game attended by 300,000 smoking males with rickets and five thousand cap-twirling juveniles without shoes. An exciting encounter that saw the visitors stroll to a blistering 2 - 0 victory. The winning penalty brought about when Ernest Twentwhistle insisted that the referee give a penalty against him due to running out of tabs before half time. Gordon Grungethorpe argued that he'd lent him a fag thereby negating the penalty, but forthright Twentwhistle sent himself off claiming that his unsportsmanlike behaviour had brought the whole game into question. After lending Grungethorpe his first team cravat he jogged off into the changing sheds and ended a career of sporting finery.
RL memories. You can't buy them.

Well we don't know if the other Griffin smokes yet! He might just smoulder. I could have put "Two Smoking Walnes" but it sounds like it might need urgent medical attention.
By the way son if you're going to tell the story; get it right! The referee ruled that the fag that Grungethorpe lent him was not technically a fag, as it wasn't a "Capstan full strength" and thereby too "girlie" for a rugby league player.
Them were the days though. No poofy programmes like "booits an all" then.........but Stevo was there and had just hung his booits up.

| You two remind me of an old Will Hay Film where Harbottle (looking 85+) goes and sees his DAD. All we need now is a new Poster called Butchers Grandad who no doubt will take us back to the mid 1800`s.
