I hope to god the Widnes club aren't expecting 100 fans to turn up and only have a turnstile open!!

As a group of fans we tend to just rock up to games without tickets and now the stadium is miles away for most people they just won't bother. I agree we'll take around the 700 mark tonoight.

Maybe more would pre-buy from Salford if it was better publicised and less laborious. It took me about 10- minutes to get my ticket after the game last Thursday, and there were only 2 people in the queue ahead of me. In the past I've been passed from reception, to club shop to ticket office and back again to get away tickets, and then had to go through the rigmarole of giving my name, address while they click through some computer system and end up giving me a pre-printed ticket anyway.

Judging by a Widnes fan at work, not peaking as much as them!

Just out of interest, how many fans did we bring last year ? I was there and apart from the fringes, that stand looked pretty full.

I'm not bothered how many Salford being tonight. Haven't really brought that many in past years really but if you do have a growing fan base and do bring more, all the best I hope you do

About the same as Wakefield brought on the opening game, circa 850. That stand holds more than double that.

from the Gareth Hock conversion, and the stand was at least 3/4 full for what it matters which is 1200+

To be honest I thought your brought around similar numbere as saints did last week, which I wasn't expecting and was impressive

Tonight, I think we'll get beat fairly comfortably. I really hope I am wrong, we didnt create much if anything and were poor around the ruck. Fingers crossed for an improved performance

The ref Silverwood gave Salford sod all, especially in the first half when it could have made a big difference.
I am neutral and had no leanings either way, but if I had been a Salford fan I would have felt badly done to.

Are you kidding? Silverwood didn't have a particularly good game for either side. For every point that went against Salford, there was one that went against widnes ...

I actually thought we looked ok in spells. From the stands it looked like nothing went our way but obviously watching through red tinted specs. Still better than I expected, onwards n upwards I have some optimism for wire next week!

8th is a good and realistic aim ... Unfortunately there are certain people (at the club and outside it) that have talked yourselves up more than they should of potentially ...

Biggest problem is attack. Widnes gifted you 2 (arm grabbing) and a lucky bounce - you had plenty of position and possession, but never really looked threatening

on that performance and the main thing is you got no squad you wil not finish in the eight.

I'll be honest, I don't like the noises that the doc has been making since he took over. It's all this crap he's spouting about it's for the good of rugby league. I'd rather he just be honest and admit he just wants to buy success for Salford and it's not rugby league he has at heart.

Not the result we wanted and even more injuries but I thought it was a spirited performance. Every 50:50 seemed to go against us tonight but we can take some positives from tonight.

Most of our players performed pretty well with the exception of a couple I'd rather not name. I've got to signal out Harrison Hansen for some special praise I thought he was superb for us again.

Give it a few weeks and 5 or 6 key players back and we will absolutely tonk someone, trust me. It will probably be a revenge beating of Widnes at the magic weekend. It's a funny old game

The ball just didn't seem to bounce our way at times and some 50/50 decisions seemed to go against us. Walton not getting a penalty off a strip earlier in the game, the 'obstruction' before half time, the break from Theo that was going to be kicked dead but we stupidly managed to touch the ball as it was going out, the drop from Theo after the ball hit Howarth. We had chances, just made some bad decisions and got unlucky a couple of times.
