In all fairness I did intend to mention Weller Hauraki's name in a previous post on this topic, but took it out after seeing the grief ex-salfordian copped. I did mention it somewhere else though. He is another of Noble's favourites from past clubs and as I understand would assist Rangi in travelling to and from Castleford should he choose not to relocate (he doesnt drive at the moment). I believe he has a further 12 months on his contract though and would be subject to a transfer fee, unless Castleford choose to release him, which is unlikely unless something can be negotiated as part of the Rangi deal.

How about we swap Hauraki for McGoldrick/Howarth/Wild all you'd think would be surplus to requirements come the end of the season and could potentially do a job for Cas.

But if Chase is talking to/ has signed for Salford isn't this what is known in the trade as "tapping up",unless his parent club has given permission? This is how transfers have been dealt with for many years in Super League, unfortunately for us it has always involved our better players leaving for other clubs. This is getting silly. Holdsworth and Smith were both allegedly tapped up last year, should the RFL launch an operation Yewtree style crusade or shall we just accept that, one way or another, this sort of thing has always happened.

Seeing as we've historically been on the wrong end of this arrangement for years, I really won't be losing any sleep!
