Agreed, in football they take this sort of thing super seriously, I remember Sheringham getting hauled in for questioning by the policy for kissing his United badge when he scored against Spurs.
Mind you when Bobbie Goulding was at Salford he used to enjoy giving it to us when you were beating us, hamshanker gestures, middle finger and wobbling his belly, I thought he was quite funny really but it got some of our fans spitting feathers.

| An awful display not helped by each and every restart being exactly the same.Marc Sneyd kicking to the left of the posts, the ball being caught by Myler and off they go again.
When some clubs at Championship level make an effort to kick the ball dead or into touch to prevent a speedy full back running through a disorganised defence I am pretty sure Marc is able to try a short kick or bounce the ball in-field with the hope it goes into touch.Or just kick to the other side;anything !
It was only the second game back for Morley after a long lay-off.( Just as well )
The last thing Dr Koukash needs,as well as that type of display,is idiocy from supporters.
Bad day all round.I may possibly have felt worse in December, but rejuvenated at the Forever Reds meeting in January.I hope history repeats itself tomorrow night.

| The Dr should not get involved especially when the advise he took was from Salford own mr numpty. Ben Westwood did no more or less than any other player when they scores.

What difference would it have made? I don't get what the obsession with restart kick offs that a number of our fans have. They scored 12 tries, we should be worrying about how to stop the opposition from scoring.

He said it was after Monaghan's try, not it was him who 'threw' the bottle.

| A couple of our fans (less than one per cent) reacted to Monaghans needless gesture. The rest of our fans were awesome throughout the game and Warrington fans after the game shook my hand and said exactly that.
The first person to applaud us after the game was Ratchford. Our own players were rather reticent to follow, can't think why?
Myler, for all the abuse he has received from our fans in recent years, didn't go over the top when he scored. Credit to him. Why did Monaghan?

| I am a little concerned that we are starting to look like Blackburn here. What's wrong with quietly going about your business? Each time we win a game, we are told we have turned a corner - no we haven't!!!!!
We were a laughing stock before, and we are no different now. I was happy to believe the hype about the future and the big signings, but for gods sake, keep quiet until we really have something to shout about.

| He many times do you see players just throw a ball in the air after scoring?
How many times do you see cricketers take a catch and throw it in the air?
It's a heat of the moment thing, not malicious and it's not as if players target fans or the like.
Here's what i think, someone from you club needs to grow up and stop being pathetic.

| Seriously weigh up what you're saying, look at the grand scheme of life and not this pathetic culture of being offended by everything and seeing malice in everything that comes from someone that isn't 'one of our own'
Some people in this world (and if it helps i'll include some wire fans for balance) need to grow up, if your age is double figures and the first number is 2 or above then stop acting like whiny little girls and just stop looking for something to get angry about.
Does anyone even understand the word perspective?

One or two of our fans predictably responded,we have our share of idiots. Why your player had to celebrate like that was poor.

Celebrating scoring, ban it i agree, take out the passion obviously, no one like to see that in our game, come on big Nigel stamp the horrible passion out before it becomes infectious.
Ffs the only people in the wrong are the idiots in the crowds, if it takes something as little as people celebrating to get them angry then they need a long hard look at themselves.

I believe Dr Koukash is also reporting Ratchford for kicking the ball into the crowd, eleven times no less! Disgraceful behaviour.

I dont think you were a laughing stock before. Youve just been a lower end club for a very long time.....I think you are getting to a laughing stock now and thats due to one man, Koukash.
We hate Widnes Far more than yourselves and they have a Millionaire Chairman..... but he has Largely been modest, quiet and professional . Stuck by his young coach got the 3G pitch or whatever it is and is keeping his head down ... making decent signings and getting better by the year.
Marwan comes in and his first statement was "Salford will win a trophy within 12 months" now he may have slightly altered that since, but its a shocker of thing to say.
Bear in mind when Dave Whelan took control of Wigan RLFC along with Magic Maurice and his calculator with Brian Noble as Coach, Stuart Fielden as his half million pound Signing 15,000 + crowds, having the name and History and recent success of Wigan Warriors he still said if we dont Win a trophy in FIVE years well hand the club over to someone else................... they were all gone after four trophyless seasons.

| Being a Wire supporter I think it started when Michael Monaghan scored a try under the posts. The Salford supporters weren't happy, as Ratchford was lining the conversion up I could see Ben Westwood trying to calm a Salford supporter down who was having none if it.
Then I could see Koukash waving his arms towards the stewards like a magician. The official Tim Roby did have a word with Westwood on the 20 metre line.
What happened with your support? I would have fought you would of brought more supporters after the win last week. It was pretty disappointing if I'm being honest.

| Can anyone say if the ball was thrown into the crown intentionally and with venom or just a bit of mis throw and mistake?
Does seem to be that everyone is making a bit of a mountain out of a molehill, though I grant you the Doc while at the time helping to diffuse the situation maybe was a little strong on the radio but I'm sure that was more heat of the moment than malicious.

Our supporters are guarded with their cash.
Warrington away is a certain defeat. Only the hardcore fans turn up unfortunately. That's why very few turned up. If we'd have had a half decent, competitive side that could have kept the score closer, you'd have seen a lot more.
All this nonsense about ball throwing/bottle throwing/accusations etc etc is being blown way out of proportion on both sides.

Exactly, otherwise you end up making laughable statements such as claiming that Dr Koukash is a GP from a St Helens medical practice.

It gives people with nothing better in life something to focus on I guess.
