Once again, the money raised by the fans is not being held by Forever Reds, as there are Financial Restrictions on what FR can use money for. The money raised is being held in an account that is independent of FR and the club. At the appropriate time, ie when we are clear what is happening with our club, all options will be discussed, and the fans will decide what we do with any funds raised. Hope this clarifies, and will be discussed more fully at Thursdays meeting in the Fans Bar at the Stadium, 7.30pm.

Can you say who are the trustees/signatories to the rescue fund account ?
Also, if a new investor does come in with sufficient funding such that the rescue fund is no longer needed to pay off the WUP (which was the original purpose for that money) then if that account is NOT linked with Forever Reds what might be proposed as a mechanism for dealing with it?

The signatories to the account are Steve McCormick, Shirley Bradshaw and myself Bill Taylor. It was Steve who started the initiative on the evening of the John Wilkinson meeting in the Church. As none of us hold any position at the Rugby Club or are signatories to the Forever Reds funds, there are no financial conflicts.

The meeting on Thursday evening will explore more fully our options going forward. We do have a record of who have submitted cheques, cash and on line donations. Clearly money raised through bucket collections etc. is ad hoc and as such no records exist.

The options going forward are wide ranging, from refunds to discussions with new owners to ultimately help the club in a variety of ways. If the worst was to happen and no new investment is forthcoming, money raised could be used as a start up fund for a new club.

One thing I do know is that we fans are more galvanised now than any time since 2003 when FR was first formed. Hope this clarifies.

If the reigns of Philly Viever's are halted and he falls at the first and the hunt for a new coach is sought, I wonder who'd be in the running.

Not a huge amount about the guy on tinternet but seems like a very successful bloke with a big passion for Racing. If he is interested in investing in the club and has the same passion in making us a success then he could be just what the club needs.

I just hope this isn't someone Navan a laugh with the fans and he is the real McCoy and he Ascot the financial clout we need to kick on to the next level. We don't want to be saddled with any more debt especially as he may resort to Ripon the fans off. If it is Chester joke it is in very poor taste. I said exactly the same thing. It absolutely stinks and got conflicts of interest written all over it.

Assuming the money raised by Forever Reds, Cavendish St et al isn't needed to plug the current administration's financial blackhole, how about directing at least some cash towards stamping SALFORD RLFC all over this stadium (metaphorically speaking) in order to help SCS look and feel like OUR HOME, whoever else happens to play there.

I'd be happy to contribute to tributes to our legends round the concourse areas (like the ones at Langtree Park) or, better still, a statue of Gus Risman/Lance Todd at the front of the stadium.

Bit of a pipe dream for further down the line (fingers crossed); in the meantime the cash needs to be well hidden under someone's mattress in case the worst happens.
