Ihave no issues with mr veivers,the board have,the players must have,even mr salford has,because tell us why was`nt he good enough 6 mnts ago.

He might have been 'good enough', indeed several candidates could have been 'good enough' for the job but the board clearly thought that Parish had the edge at the time. It happens all the time in every industry, people getting passed over for promotion by other people who then turn out not to be suitable after all. Perhaps the board decided that they wouldn't repeat their mistake.

Anyway, I'm curious, when, in your eyes, will Phil Veivers be good enough to be Head Coach at Salford? Or will he never be good enough? Does he not possess the ability to learn from his experiences and apply them to his coaching methods? What qualities exactly did Matt Parish display as our Head Coach that made him such a better coach than Phil Veivers?

By the way, I'm really struggling to answer that final question that I just posed so I'm looking forward(ish) to your thoughts......

Well the blinkered lot are out in force again. A half decent game played against wigan which we LOST and they're all biggin everyone up already singing from the roof top's, and the season hasn't even arrived. We'll soon see the proof in how shlt we are,1 half decent performance in god know's how many games, bottom four is inevitable with an average of 30 points conceeded in every game. I agree with mm's post about the deluded love fest excepting everything Mr Salford say's, eat's, and shlts. you'll soon be wiping your tears observing another plss poor season guarenteed........

It's not people "bigging" everyone up that gives me the goat it's the ones who keep running the club down at every opportunity whether they have been to a game or not.

You see, that's the trouble with MM and yourself (and a couple of others on here) whenever you pronounce anything (most of which is ill thought out and unreasonable) and someone actually tries to give you the benefit of the doubt and start a debate with you, you just hurl personal insults at whoever it is that has the temerity to hold a view, any view it seems.

Back to original post on tues night! Performance fine and worthy of a crowd! I could not believe my eyes when I turned up and saw the pathetic turn out! Few nights earlier saints got 12000 in their curtain raiser! We have only got 6500 total in all 3 of ours!
Solly fans have to turn up and support through thick and thin and what better time to come now with this great ground!
Would expect at least 8000 for cas game but rumour has it powers that be only expecting 4500! That would be a disaster. We have to fill this baby and take things forward!
Club don't help though! No proper signage for stadium, one road in and out and no decent arrangements for kids with say a family stand, free tkts etc. one of my mates had to wait 25 mins for a tkt with a crowd of 2414!
We have to be worthy of super league off the field as well!

tuesday night is a bad night for me, at college, but should be there Saturday if my ST arrives in time.

Nice one! We need a serious go at this otherwise people will be put off! It was like a morgue. Only a friendly I know but some of us are excited about this ground even though I will miss my 30 years in the shed!

Sorry to disappoint you but even though i refuse to line Mr Salford's pockets anymore i won't refuse to post my views on here. The Salford supporters need to hear an unbiased view of the garbage served to us for the past 30 years.

Including the Dec 27th walk event there's been 4 events in a little over a month at the Stadium
if someone attended them all it would have set them back £64 + drinks Food , and of course parking , Salford are only charging £70* for the season pass. some fans just haven't got time or the spare cash to blow on these events .
to compare us with saints is stretching it , Grand finalists for the past few seasons , a higher calibre of signings and ultimately top dog sporting wise in their own town, Salford are non of these, + the Cas game is a Sky game.
yes we've got to stand up and be counted literally , but the Stadium Guys , the Clubs & the players have got to do their bit too, I struggle to recall the last good start to a season we had in the in the top flight 2005?

What time did your mate get there? There were no queues at 7.15pm. You are right though we should be looking at hoping to get 8000 for Saturdays game.
