If the actors were incapable of performing the basics i.e. remembering the lines - you would have every right to shout.

Kids are not elite athletes who get paid to perform for your pleasure - no crowd no job.

If you didn't perform at work would you not consider criticism valid and I doubt in that situation you would be doing much shouting back.

You are buying a product - entertainment - if you feel that product is faulty you have every right to voice your concerns?

All most supporters want is their team to perform to their potential - if they do that and still lose most fans will accept it - it is when they don't that fans get frustrated.

For 37 minutes we were in the game tonight,and I thought we were in with a chance. Then the wheels fell off again!!.Second half ,Rovers seemed to step up a gear and we had no answer.It was back to 5 [very poor drives and a kickThey wer up on us as soon as we played the ball, so could make no yards at all.Enthusiasm drained out of the players .Why oh why ,when we are so far behind, dont they try something different, such as a short kick through and chase, or straight from the scrum on the first tackle , kick downfield for JB to chase.

To be honest you cant expect a big gate when when your getting nilled at home what concerns me veivers was brought in as defence coah and we are averageing 50 points a game. You aint going to attact supporters when we are getting stuffed every game. This will be looked at in dran hise which i dont think we will get. Avaraging a gat of 3,000 proves we aint going forward. I just dont think we ate good enough and if veievers gets job i would wonder where next win is. We are so predictable in a attack the opposition defence dont have to learn a lot to defend against us as we only seem to have one plan. We never try chip over the top or anything and are passing is attrousious. What does the club do in training we can tackle we always give away silly penalties which always result in concedeing 6 points. When are we going to get a team that plays good rugby as we never look like scoring. So is it any wonder why we ger 2000 plus fans. Who is going pay £20 to come and watch rubbish. The club promise big things and then the season starts so cant see this club ever moving forward. Which depresses the hell out of me

It IS as bad as it gets at the moment. A season full of promise has completelty disintegrated. Coach(es) gone, players underperforming, crowds dwindling. Cup run over, no chance of top eight finish and we're not even in June yet.

I've wasted enough money for this season. I'll turn up for the final game and then I'll have a think about whether I'm going to risk suffering another false dawn in a new stadium.... or finally escape from the torment and just pack it all in.

Well, on a positive note, nobody can deny the passion on show from the contributors on here.

I think what we are seeing is a direct consequence of lacking direction. As much as I like PV the Club and players know that he is just a stand-in. Fans and Players seem to lack any confidence at the moment and it highlights exactly why we need that head coach appointment asap. To be honest, it doesn't really matter who it is. A new approach, fresh ideas, and for the players a clean slate to take the Club forward.

Come on Salford, get someone in before this slide becomes terminal.

A try either side of half time killed us,and the game.
We did well in the first half and ,after 25 minutes,texted my mate and told him it was "all Salford".
But.....I am a Holdsworth fan but he is off form.Deal with it,it happens.
Feka has come into form.

In the meantime ,playing Stef at 6,if he's leaving at the end of the season would be a backward step.We have tried that and it isn't the answer.

A fan stood near to me shouted "come on reds, do you know what wembley means?" in the direction of the players just after the first try and holdsworth decide to turn round and tell that fan to 'f**k off', so other fans started shouting at holdsworth and cashmere turned round and shouted back "shut the 'f**k' up...you 'f**king' come on if you think you can do better".
Seems some of the aussies don't like a bit of criticism, well done to matty smith and stef ratchford though who tried to cool things down a bit.

If you accept that the players read the Turkey,then they read all the crap about being unfit and not trying.

When the first try went in just before half time we had been playing ok and holding our own in an arm wrestle.
Fans can shout what they like and the players shouldn't really answer back but,as I say, with some of the stuff being written , human nature takes over.

Indisciplined unorganised rabble.
We have good players who are being coached in the art of RL from 20 years ago.
First SM and now PV, both with the same coaching style snuffing out what what skill there is in the team.
I would get frustrated if I had to play to that game plan every week.
Not once last night did they break the line and attacks petered out due to lack of ideas.
Simple things such as defensive lines, passes to hands, tackling ,appear to have gone out of the window.
This is now 4 years of utter $hite and even with new players it is the same old Dross, one common denominator coaching.

On the note of new owners, heard a rumour from a fairly reliable source that millward had accepted the salford job last year, but SM refused to leave and we couldnt afford to pay him off so Millward stayed at Leigh. The second part of the rumour was that the Leigh chairman would follow Millard over to Salford. I dont know much about the guy, even if he has any more money than JW, but he has just recently left Leigh...

The utter rubbish that comes out of some on here and at the game itself is greatly contributing to me spending a month backpacking around Europe and perhaps calling it a day for a fair while longer than that.

Dude, you're becoming a nightmare. Cut the racism, ridiculous OTT criticism and chill the hell out!

As for the Salford's performance. Plenty of effort, unable to capitalise.

Same old Salford let a try in just before and then just after half time. Not faulting the lack of effort far from it, but its a sad state of affairs when you can actually predict whats going to happen. I've given up now and will probably be missing my first game of the season next week against Bradford think I'll go and watch Folly u18's in the national cup final instead!

Yes, I thought about commenting on this too. Would rather save the rest of my views for a different audience.

I personally didn't think the performance was as bad some people are making out that's not to say i was impressed by it but I've seen worse.It could of been a different ball game had we took out chances in that first half, how we didn't score ill never know the holdsworth/patten combo is becoming boring and we need to try something different, to get 0 at home & not for the first time this season is poor. As already pointed out why do we always concede just before and just after half time, people in the Shed could predict what was going to happen in that we will have all the pressure and right before half time they will score nothing EVER changes. We need a win next week at Bradford to get some confidence back in the players and to open that gap up between us in the table.

With regard to the Holdsworth/Cashmere situation it again is just a thing that could occur at Salford, i don't know what went on and know sometimes we have a fair share of idiots but Holdsworth & Ray shouldn't be telling the fans to "fu*ck of" wining challenge cup is something us fans have dreamed about for many years, before they had probably even heard of Salford and is something we will dream about long after they have left us. These are two of our best players we need them on our side not to be arguing with each other.

Would like to praise Fekka as well last night, ran it hard and made yards that is all we ask.

I stand by what I said originally, if you don't want someone to shout back at you, don't shout at them in the first place.

I shouted at some bloke the other week about how bad his parking was; he told me to "f*** off" even though he had parked illegally and I'd done nowt wrong.

Didn't make me go on an internet forum to cry about it though ...

I wasn't at the game and got to listen to the last 15 mins of the first half as I drove home from work. The GMR team were saying it was one of the best games they have seen all season with great defensive displays by both teams and some scintillating attacking play from Salford.
However even I knew from the radio that we were giving the ball away carelessly and as KR applied the pressure I even said out loud in the car that being salford we'll give away a try right before half time. And low and behold we did!
The alteration between the crowd and players however is quite disturbing. Professional sportsmen get abuse, it's nothing new they should be used to it by now. I'm not saying it's right that they should get it, but sadly it's part and parcel of the job.

The club are not just playing for a new coach we are playing for a franchise and with performances over last three years we have to be among the ones close to looseing ares new stadium or not. So fan expect the players to at least put a shift in as there playing for the franchise lives if we don't get it we loose everything club as done over years so its about time the players got there mind on the job or we will be back in national league which would be end of are club I feel its jw I feel sorry for in all this

Sad as it is to say but after last night this season is already over, we have no chance of making the top 8, no cup run so all I can see is that the last home game will be a teary farewell from the die hards and hopefully a chance for the club to start a fresh with new ideas, better backroom staff and hopefully new fans on board.

Why is it that whoever we have as a coach we always only have one set attacking move? Used to be the inside ball to Finnigan when Harrison was in charge, now it's the Patten/Holdsworth link. To say we are lacking direction is an understatement. On the other hand if we hand scored first I reckon we would've won. Gonna be too late for the prospective new coach to rescue this season now though.

I feel we moved backwards when we got rid of Karl Harrison and a Steve simms appointment of mcrae at least when Karl Harrison was here the team was committed and we did not get battered every week then we got mcrae that's where it went wrong I just hope Wilkinson takes control and not let simms employ the new coach. For me he is the main problem for a while and if any one should leave it is him

You didn't and it wasn't. 5 or 6 hundred, which for travelling down on a Friday night is a bloody brilliant effort.
