As for power and strength, if you can start quick its an advantage but for me salford are not the best starters of a game so to be powerful and strong and be mentaily still in the changing room and 6-0 down on the field its a waste of time for me.

Let me get this straight, a couple of wives fell out and we lost, probably, the most competent member of our backroom staff. I would like to think the club wasn't that amateur. It seems appear the 2007 season went wrong for a whole manner of reasons, and instead of riding the crest of a wave the club simply imploded. The wives fall out story then came out in the wash after Eddie McGuiness was replaced by Dean Thomas. Let's face it Karl Harrison wouldn't have gone to the Directors and said I want to replace Eddie because my misses and his have had a fall out!

OMG!!!!! You are so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! The point of my post was, it had been our suggested our head coach and fitness coach couldn't work together because their wives fell out. Not, Harrison asked asked the directors to sack McGuiness because of their wives not getting along.

Why make a generalised remark then suggesting 'the club' may have behaved amateurishly if it was a personal matter between two individuals? To me 'the club' constitutes more than two people and it comes across as unfair criticism to other people that work for or represent the club.

Ok, so now you are trying to spell out that the club is everyone including the fans, the players, the directors and even the guy who cleans the toilets. Whatever you class as 'the club', there is no way a disagreement between two important members of 'the coaching' team should have ended up with one of them leaving. In a results based industry, that is what I would class as amateurish.

Eddie would not go full time which is why Dean got the job. Dean was a nice bloke but not a good conditioner.

A good conditioner can make or break a season and make or break other peoples coaching careers. It is a crucial appointment and the right man is a must.

Karl wanted a more scientifically based training programme and that is the only reason Eddie left. People who think they fell out should have been at Eddies funeral where it's the closest I have ever seen Karl to tears. Karl loved Eddie to bits as did all the lads and Karl even admitted later that it was probably an error for him to leave.

I think everyone in league should read Wayne Bennetts comments about what makes a winning team (after all he'd know). He says it's the same now as in the early part of his career.

The ironic part being Dean was scientifically very weak.
