So, a home federation trained player (according to the rules as Iain has stated), but Australian (to quote Red League) and possibly already playing in SL (as kots has suggested) narrows the profile again doesn't it ? Or are we saying defo no more Aus players ?

Cashmere and Henry will have been signed by us in late 2008 ahead of the 2009 season. Bailey signed for Wigan in 2007, but he counts on the non-fed quota anyway because he's an Aussie with no EU or Kolpak backgound and hasn't been here long enough for residency. I should have been clearer in that Latu, Feka, Nero and Anderson are all EU/Kolpak AND have been here before Feb 2008 - had these 4 not been over here before that date they would count as quota players.

To me it if this has any truth to it has to be a player from either Leeds or Saints as Huddersfield, Warrington and Wigan have already allowed players we have signed go public with it.

Struggling to see who if anyone will be a massive signing from either of those teams who we can realistically expect to come to Salford.

All the players we've signed so far are coming off contract. The clubs you have mentioned might view the situation differently if said player is contracted for next season, or possibly, ooh I don't know, the club's captain.

There's every possibility Wilky was throwing off Red Hearings to prevent those people frequenting these message forums exposing the signings and ruining any possible deal!!!!!!!

For me its Between Hansen & Morley, two local lads. I personally think it will be Morley i heard at the Wakey match he has signed a 2year deal. Still that was just a sheer rumor, all this hype and i bet we dont sign anyone else.

Am I the only one who thinks that Morley if you look at it subjectively isn't the signing everyone is jumping to say he is. He is 32/33 and spent a great deal of his professional life playing in the NRL which i'm certain at some point in the very near future will creap up on him all of a sudden. He is without doubt a quality prop but I very much doubt (if it is him) he will be getting less than a 2 year deal that he will make it through those 2 years without missing great chunks through more and more dabilitating injuries.

Hope i'm wrong as he is Salford through and through but I just have my sneaking suspicisions time is catching up faster than he can run.

Can't see (if your not being tongue in cheek) Leeds letting him go as he has looked dangerous all season, though if he did sign I can't see him getting past Sir Reginald to the number 6 jersey myself.
