As much as i said at the start of the season that i wanted to see Holdsworth at 13 i dont think we can afford to play him there. Our pack is simply not big or good enough at the minute so playing him at Loose loses us another forward player to take the ball in. Matty Smith to drop out for me aswell.

How can anyone's team include McGilvray?

Agreed that on Friday he had a bad game- however it was the worse i've seen him play in a red shirt, up untill now in my opinion he's looked a good player. He's got pace, strong runner and can finish. His defence hasnt been that bad overall. Yes he got cought out with the high ball but he had no help whatsoever on each occasion- there was a problem there and what did we do to counter it?? Sod all!!!

McGilvary to keep his place for me.

Watched the pre-season games and saw nothing to recommend him at all.
You need to be lightning quick if you're that size and he isn't.
Should have had more cover but his confidence will be shot.
Leeds would annihilate him !

And dropping him will help that?

I watch jewitt on saturday in the 20s he had a blinder and he deserves to play for the 1st team. He is naturally aggresive and we are missing that

Are we more concerned about the lads confidence or trying to produce a performance.
If he really looked the part and this was a lapse I would agree with you but he simply does not look a player.
Taking him out of the firing line would be doing him a favour.
He is not the reason we are losing matches but neither does he look as though he will win one for us.
There are better options.
He is not to be a scapegoat but he does not deserve to hold his place.

think mcgilvray injured, according to boots n all. feel a bit sorry for him if not. typically tho, if we knew he was injured why didnt we cover him on 5th tackle for the bomb last fri?

If you watch the highlights again you'll see that Matty Smith DID try to cover him on the last tackle - he just didn't do a very good job of it?!

Thats what i thought last season but what a game that was!!!! you never know what is going to happen, we could play great and they have an off day again! I'd rather we are playing them in the form they are in than if they were steamrolling teams!

Cas and Wakey probably thought exactly the same.
