A good all round performance gave Salford City a 3-1 victory over a Stockport County XI side at Moor Lane yesterday with debutant Jody Banin playing a major part in all three goals.
The Ammies next game is at home to Oldham Athletic on Tuesday 5th August kick off 7:30pm.

Banim is a very good signing for Salford. Hes played under the manager previously in Saturday and Sunday football. Judging by recruitment I reckon you will go well this season.

Shades of last seasons early form as Salford City crashed 5-1 at Trafford in their opening Unibond League Division One North fixture this afternoon. To make matters worse the Ammies also had two players red carded. Next league game at home to Lancaster City Tues 18th Aug @ 7:45pm.

Leigh won 3-1 in a Rossendale game monsoon. Could have had six if their keeper wasn't in inspired form. Away to Curzon on Monday @ 7:45. Would be happy with a point given our start of 2 away games, and the fact we lost to them in the cup last year.

Irlam FC have won 2 from 2 so far. They beat Atherton Colleries 6-1 and AFC Blackpool 2-1. Both games at Silver Street. They play Ashton Town AFC away on Tuesday night.
