Not trolling guys but saw the thread thought I would chip in. Although I have only seen Myler a few times on tv I have heard quite a lot about the lad. I can understand your frustration about losing a young talented player, at Warrington we saw some of our young talent sold on to the bigger clubs i.e. Scully and Harris. That was mainly to keep our club afloat but I am sure the players benefited also. I am not saying the same about Salford but I am afraid this is the way it goes regardless of the cap.

If Myler doesn't sign for the Wire it could be Leeds, Saints or Wigan, who knows. The players agents will be looking for the best deal and could probably influence any decision on his future.

I know there has been speculation about Briers future at the Wire but maybe he be could be part of any deal.

If myler wants to go then let him! Get the money for him and sign someone with more experience and can bring ratchford on even more! Smith should be used at hooker next year imo! Also let turner go if he wants to also! Whats the point of them playing for us if there not going to give 100%? I can see Myler getting some abuse tbh if he is confirmed he is going wire before the season finishes!

If a team breaks the salary cap as surely Warrington must be close with players like Morley on £250,000 a year, will the League do like in australia and take away all points for the season because there is no relegation.

Makes the franchise idea a waste of time if only a few clubs can afford all the best players with no regard to the cap then we will end up with the smaller clubs trying to get better by producing the talent and then losing the talent to the bigger club so maintaining the Status quo and the small clubs remain small and can not compete because the crowds will not come.

While I think that attacking-wise Smith would be a good option at hooker, I don't think his defence is strong enough for him to be viable in that position.

Morley is on now where near £250,000 a year. He is also our top paid player.

These rumors have been going on for 6 months now. Until i see it officially then no need to worry. If he or any of our young players leave Mr Wilkinson and the RFL wiil have to take a good look at themselves. The RFL because the Salary cap will not be working just as in the 80s the big clubs can sign who they want.

I hope Myler doesnt leave and the club do their upmost to ensure he remains a Salford player for many years to come but I am also a realist and know we cannot match Warrington for ambition. I just hope he is being made aware that currently at Salford he is playing out of the limelight with no pressure and is developing his game brilliantly. He is Englands first choice #7 all whilst plying his trade at the Willows.

Lets remember at the moment he is no Jonathon Thurston or Scott Prince and a couple of bad games for a team like Warrington and the abuse that will come with it will not benefit him one bit. He be playing with all the pressure that a big money signing plays with it and at his age I dont think that is in his interests.

However if he does leave we cannot have any complaints and praise must be heeped on Steve Simms and Shaun Mc. They took a relatively unknown and certainly unproven young player and helped him develop into the countries brightest RL talent, all whilst potentially earning the club £300,000.

Makes you think how the Widnes fans felt when we signed him off them eh?

If myler has gone to warrington and turner to hull can we(wakefield) take adamson, ratchford and possibley sidlow cheers from your fans at wakefield
