I dont know how long u have been watching salford, but Littler has been the back bone of this team for many a year, and when the so called big players have gone missing, littler has been there, with his angle runs scoring trys when nobody else looks intrested in playing never mind scoring, ok he may not be the best Centre in the league, but he gives 100% every game and very rarely takes a backward step, and if u want one player to wind another player up give littler the job, ie, lesley vino a couple of seasons ago at salford.
Fridays game at tescos / bingo.com is just the game that littler will thrive on,
so littler in the centres ratchford and myler 6 & 7 talou poss moved out to the wing to cover richards as we have no big wingers,
so whichever wing richards plays on , put talou and littler oppisite him and nail him everytime he gets the ball.'"
You must be Stuarts agent. Back to centre? Move Talau who provided his winger with 4 tries on a plate at Batley with classic centre play which we have been starved of for years? Cant`t believe your comments. Sure Littler is loyal and gives 100% but he has never been Super League class. If he has to play on Friday then maybe as a tall winger against Richards to defuse the bomb but otherwise he has to be water carrier. Its not a game for emotions. Biggest game for years.

I've got nothin aganist him but to me he just simply isn't good enough , cas away ( now i know everyone had a shocker ) but the way shenton just stood him up then just speed round for his first try from the scrum i think was a joke , and yes he's been the back bone for years BUT maybe thats why we've been a bit of a yo yo team by sayin he gives 110% so thats ok but thats not good enough for super league anymore you still need the 110% but you need the ability and speed as well

| I think a point a few of you are missing is that the new found defensive solidness has a bit to do with Goulding now being on the side that was being exploited so frequently when we had Smith, Turner and Ratchford out on the edge.
Allowing smith back and going to that same set up would quickly be recognised by Wigan and I'm sure attacked at every occasion. It was just way to vunerable. Littler despite what some may think of him would IMO be a much better option.
Plus why put Ratchford out on the wing where he will become as good as forgotten. We need him in the middle using that great step and kicking game he has.
This is a game we need to win and a half who coming back from injury and not yet back up to speed is not the way to go.

| Agree to an extent Fungus but you are wrong to include Turner when suggesting it was a weak flank defensively.
It was a weak flank but it was Stuart in the right centre position and many coaches were directing their play down that channel as they too thought it was weak.
Dont understand why there seems a compulsion to include Smith in the starting 13 - surely better to come from the bench. We shouldnt be accommodating him just because we have brought him over here. Team should be the `same as` surely (except Goulding) from the start.

| You sure it was littler? I'm positive it was Turner and Ratchford together? I could be wrong though. It wouldn't be the first time.

I would agree with this and posted something similar on the Wigan site. Goulding has made a huge difference to our defense on the right and we have barely conceeded a try down that side since he came. Turner has also looked a lot more solid since he was paired with Goulding and they have totally nullified any Huddersfield and Bradford attacks down our right in the last 2 weeks. He will be a big loss imo.

The matches I was on about were v Wakey & Cas away & Quins at home where we shipped points down Stuarts channel. I really feel Turner is now providing more strength in defence and we should stick with the lad.

| Wouldn't be too mithered if Smith plays stand off at Wigan. Could be better to have his experience in there rather than than an in-experienced pairing deciding to kick on the 1st/2nd tackle everytime we get within 20m of the opposition try-line.
