I think what the Fishwives and Rumour Mongers from `wealthy` clubs fail to grasp is that with the Reds there is a terrific team spirit & bond basically built up with playing alongside each other from an early age with Allan Hunte as guru.

I would be very surprised to see the youngsters split up and go their separate ways in pursuit of money and really feel positive about the way we have done things and also positive about our own future.

How do we know that the club haven't given him permission to talk to wire if they are interested? Plus why do people think we'll get a huge amount for him? He's only 1 year left on his contract all any team need do is say "here you go Salford 100K now or we take him for nothing at the end of the season"

To be honest I wasn't aware there was a lower age limit. Surely if he has a full 1st team contract he would be the same as the rest of the team.

Well the Bosman ruling declared that any player 23 and over, and out of contract, could move freely between clubs. Whether there are different caveats to Super League contracts and RFL registrations, I don’t know.

As long as we offer him a contract he isn't a free agent. Thought it was untill 22 which is in line with the bosman.

Almost - it's as long as that contract is the same as, or better than, his current one, then a "young player" isn't classed as a free agent - hence Leeds paying us a fee for Ambler.

I cant see Turner going anywhere. I dont think that we can stop Myler leaving when his contract is up as long as they pay a set fee. Without the new stadium we will always struggle to keep players like him.
