| Worrall has played a fair bit in the 1st team this season for Leeds and Broughton has played a fair bit on loan at Hull so neither would be a massive gamble...any ideas if these would be signings per se or loan deals??
Good news either way for me though.

Apparently Worrall is going to Union for next season, and the talk has been that Broughton was going to Wakefield.. dont know the truth in this.
Gibson is your way however.. BTW he is playing loose forward for the reserves against St Helens tomorrow.. so you can add that to his versitility.

| yeah McShane looks like he will be a quality player, doubt leeds would let him go though, would be good if we could get a loan deal sorted or summat though.

GARETH HAGGERTY is being released by the Quins and is returning North.
He has already attracted interest from two Super League Clubs.
I wonder who the two clubs are
Surely the Salford City Reds will not be one of them....

| Gareth may be worth another punt James, think McDermot sorted him out, got him trimmed down. When he was at Salford last came over as a bit of a softie, but appears to have toughened up when seen him play for the Quins. He is a good impact player, thought he always lifted the team when he came on & if he was in the mood he could be unstoppable with the ball. He has matured now & probably getting to his peak.
Funnily enough, saw him in the Trafford Centre 3/4 weeks ago,

It would be a massive gamble bringing him back, when he was switched on he was immence on his day, it wasnt enough of the time unfortunately, his defence was very week if i remember rightly and he was too "nice" for me, need our fowards to be fearce but he played like a cuddly bear.
If Mcrae takes the gamble and brings him back i hope somebody upsets him before every game so he comes out fighting

| Haggy, would u have him back?????????????
for me yes, i think from what i have seen of him play on the box since he left, he has improved, plus with a couple of our forwards moving on , i cant see us going wrong with a proven forward in super league, WHO WOULD COME AND PLAY FOR US, and give his heart to play for for us,
and not just come for a pay packet,
so would u have him back ????

I totally missed that one. Epic. St Helens are surely the new Bradford (who were of course following in the mighty footsteps of Wigan). What more proof do you need that the top clubs aren't just stagnating, they're actually in full reverse?!?
What next, Leeds releasing Webb and offering Francis Cummins a comeback?

Quote Meanwhile, Simms is in contact with an Australian three-quarter with a view to a player coming in next season.
Simms has spoken to the player's agent, it's understood an offer has been made and Reds are awaiting a reply.
Simms is also scouring both the Super League and Championship as Reds look to bolster their ranks next season. '"

The problem is the top clubs because of the credit cruch dont have the pounds to chuck at top Oz or kwis at the moment and dont want to go and gamble on buying the best of the rest (like bradford did and failed)
Will hopefully close the cap and give us a chance to hit the big time

Actually it says:
Quote Simms is in contact with an Australian three-quarter with a view to a player coming in next season'"
It doesn't say that the australian three-quarter is the player coming in. He could be talking to Mark Henry to see what he thinks of us signing Gareth Haggerty

| Well we need a winger and we have been linked with Chris Walker and Luke Dyer so could be either of those
Haggy and Leuluai off the bench provides impact after 20 mins so i would be happy with that signing, with Jewitt/ Boyle (maybe) with Cashmere we are strong upfront

| Catic is expensive and a penalty machine. Like Harrison though who could develop as a centre.

| According to the bradford forums we are re-signing Platt, cant see it with how he was treated last time, looked good at centre this year for the bulls if he came though it would be as full back with talau, henry and gibson(rumoured) along with stu who will probably start next as he always does
