give the guy a chance michael mguire came over as an assistant. He aint going to be able to work is magic over night like everyone expects and he as worked with top coaches in the game. The club needs stability and now the coach is in he needs time to mold the team. Now come on the reds now get a win friday night and welcome the new coach knowing the quality is there and prove to the coach you warrent a reds shirt

This logo 'with the devil' was phased out about 5 years ago. I was told this was due to (Trish the Commercial Manager at the time) thinking the devil would frighten young kids.

I'm happy with that. Seems very enthusiastic. Isn't afraid to get stuck into people if needs be either. A 2 year deal is a sensible length too.

I hope it works out well for all parties and I wish him luck.

Well said mate. I just hope he's the kind of fella who can command respect from the players and instil some urgency, enthusiasm, team spirit and pride. I'm happy to give him every chance ......... What have we got to lose after years of uncertainty and lack of direction ?

IMHO from my experience of running a few organisations there are 3 things that need to happen, all of which if done right will show our new coach stamping his authority on the situation:

1: Sort out the remainder of this season - if there is dissent in the ranks quell it, 1 hymn-sheet - 1 song, if you're not on board then go

2: Get next season's recruitment plan organised well in advance - too often we seem to get the left overs that no-one else wants - there's a selling job to be done to make Salford a place players want to come to

3: Root and Branch restructure of the whole coaching, playing and management set-up - a massive cultural change, we have to BELIEVE that we are good enough, that we can be winners. For too any years, I think Salford sides have been beaten before they've walked onto the field.

I think the club should be thoroughly commended on their conduct throughout the recruitment period.

Despite what some on here say, JAW and co. have been a model of professionalism IMHO and gone about their business in a very effective and dignified way.
