Salford City tonight announced the departure of Manager Ash Berry by mutual consent after only nine games in charge with poor performances and a lack of overall improvement being cited as the reasons for his departure. I can agree with the statement but would also add the lack of discipline both on and off the pitch as well as his part time involvement with Huddersfield Town FC which restricted the amount of time he could devote to the Ammies as contributory factors in my opinion.

Next game at home to Woodley Sports in the league ko 3:00 pm on Saturday 20th December.

Despite the 3-2 home defeat to Woodley the Ammies turned in a far more encouraging performance and with a little composure might well have nicked a last minute equaliser. With the departure of most of the recent Yorkshire based contingent it is the management's intention to put the focus back on more locally based talent in order to try and improve club morale and results.

Next game is away at Trafford on Boxing Day ko 3:00pm. Won there on the last two league visits!!

Back to the original thread topic, hope Genesis give Witton a proper good tonking at Warrington on Boxing Day.

Despite pulling back two first half goals to trail 2-3 at the break in their Boxing Day fixture, Salford's spirited fightback ran out of steam with home side Trafford scoring two further late goals to complete a 5-2 scoreline.

Add the Salford City v Radcliffe Boro game to the list frozen pitch after an 1100 inspection,

Ended up going to Nantwich-Cammell Laird, which eventually finished at 5:05pm after a 10 minute delay because of floodlight failure and a 5 minute delay because of crowd congestion...either there's nowt to do in Cheshire, or there were tons of neutrals as they had 900+ on

FC United won 3-0 away at Worksop yesterday. Next game is away at Boston next Saturday.
