| The man he speaketh total sense.
I will personally feel bitterly ashamed this Friday (or any other home game this season for that matter) at any booing of the players. If you've got nothing positive to say silence is golden.
Also personally looking forward to seeing KOTS letting his hair down as with most of us that is in the plural but with KOTS sadly it is in the singular
The ground has fond memories for many of us I'm sure, let's dwell on those this season rather than leaving with negativity filling the air.

| =#000000there was a topic last season about this season saying how much they'd want more fans, better atmospheres, want to be heard.
Well we can make this happen
we get behind them lads week in week out, yer they play crap sometimes but everybody has a off game just unlucky for us thats more than others
it's nice to see there was more people in the shed during the friendlies!
But tomorrow night is the biggest game of this season two years on the trot we beat them at home and we can easily do it again!
it would be nice if we ( ESPECIALLY ON SKY ) could hear people singing, cheering, shouting for encouragement having a massive mega atmosphere ! instead of the quiet pointless thing we've been getting towards the end of last season!!
- - - -
to them people at the magic weekend!
thanks for supporting the lads, your voices were definitiely heard on sky haha!
shame we didn't get the result
but maybe its time for slug to go as we all well know!
so lets not be down, angry and not turn up for the game! like the comments above!!!
get down there, let your hair down, let loose! LETS GO F*CKIN' MENTAL!
I hope to see as many people as possible screaming their hearts out tomorrow
Thanks

| Any chance of KOTS being allowed to conduct the Team Talk?
This thread has highlighted what it's all about supporting Salford. Lost count of the number of times I've questioned my sanity following the Reds. It would be so easy to go ten minutes down the road from where I live and watch Wigan, but the Willows just keeps drawing me back.
Come on you Reds!!!!!!!!!
MACRAE OUT!

| I will be there a usual shouting my head off and going mental. Mind you some people say I am mental all the time lol.
I agree with all thats been said and I for one dont agree with booing the players it is not constructive and achieves nothing.
Maybe if we all get behind the team they may decide to forget McRaes tactics and play there own game and possibly come away with a win. One can dream.

| Here here - let's show the players the passion us fans have for the club the best atmosphere I can remember in recent years was against Warrington last game of the season after we had already been relegated so let's bring that back even if we are gettin beat by 30+ points week in week out which is possible while that useless Aussie is in charge.
Bring on the Salford !!!!!

| Well said, this is what every Salford fan should be thinking. The shed hasn't been itself for the past 2ish seasons now but lets get it rocking again!
Take me home, Willows road.

| Well said KOTS. I really didn't think anyone would boo the players anyway. I'm sorry I won't be there to lend my verbal support.
I suppose that if we give our absolute all as fans then we are beyond ANY reproach for what is happening (or not) behind the scenes.
I'm not sure SM will give a toss one way or the other as he appears pretty hard faced, but IF he doesn't care we should show the players that WE DO!
All the best folks.
BD.
P.S. I know I've mentioned this before, but SM really doesn't look well. (seriously).

| I have to say that's a pretty fine post KOTS.
Let's get completely behind the boys tomorrow. Yes Sunday was a disgrace, yes McRae looked unfussed by our dreadful performance but f.u.c.k it they're our team and it's just awesome to have Rugby League back at the Willows for one last season. I'm sure the lads will really appreciate our vocal support and we all know the shed can drive the side on. Bring on the Salford!

| big claps for KOTS, but as I remember the great times the 70's and two league wins plus the Floodlight cup and the Lancashire cup plus who can ever forget Feb 11 1996, tears are back already. I don't won't these memories soiled by what is not happening in the coaching department, i bet Gus is spinnning in his grave watching his great club unravel like a cheap trick in a seedy club, I won't great memories of our last year at the place, I won't to see the new Watkins, Charlton, Hesketh, Dixon, Gill etal running out and being cheered to the rafters by us and many more returning to their old stomping ground. How many met their true love there, not by the factory wall but in the shed or behind the sticks? I won't these people to not only recall the great days but this year relive them and hopefully the team replicate this passion out on the field and go out and give their all, I know I will despite whats happening off the field, only 13 to go after many hundreds in the past.
COME ON SALFORD.

| Manchester City's marketing team came up with an idea about asking supporters to write about their first experience of watching City at Maine Road. Perhaps our club could do something similar by asking fans to write about their passion for the club and the hurt we feel when the team don't perform. These could then be framed and put up on the walls of Salford's training facility for all the players to read. It could prove to be very motivational, especially for the new players!

| I hope the Shed returns to the atmosphere it once had for every game this season, from start to finish of every match - we should all feel it as our responsibility to do justice to the thousands of Salfordians, past and present, who have cheered on our great Club over the years.
What I would like, if anybody here has contacts with the club, is if we could ask if the music could be turned off or turned down pre-match so that we can fully belt out BRING ON THE SALFORD without being drowned out by the music. A return of the Viking horn song would be nice as well - I can't remember hearing this for a while but I may be wrong?
For those amongst us who prefer not to be so vocal get a scarf twirling above your head!
If things get utterly dire I think a burst of F.u.c.k off McRae (Auld Lang Syne style) to air our frustration throughout half time would do us well before going back to the Pro-Salford songs only for the second half.
I am really excited for the match tomorrow after reading this thread, the type of excitement I had pre-friendlies, and have already forgotten about Cardiff. I am not confident at all about winning the match, but the potential return of atmosphere to the Willows will have me humming Salford songs all through work tomorrow and kick-off can't come quick enough, and you never know such atmosphere may rally the boys onto a win!

I think thats the biggy we as salford fans pride ourselves as being the best at generating an atmosphere and being "barmy" but without a drum, lets not try and get bogged down asking for mcraes head, the countdown has begun for the willows and the shed close its doors lets try and give it a good send of regadless what mcrae can do to soil it.
Its in our hands we can only moan about the lack of atmosphere at a game in the shed if we have given it a go trying to get one going

| I really hope tonight sees the 'rebirth' of The Shed. I've got 20 years of (mainly depressing!) shed dwelling under my belt and it's given me some of the greatest days of my life. I'm lucky enough to have been brought up on the Stretford End of the 80's & The Shed of the 90's and those places seem oh so long ago. When we move to Barton we'll more than likely attract the new breed of fan which wears jester hats, bangs drums and bounces along to Chelsea Dagger. We, the (slightly mental) fans need to take our passion, our voices, our love for this proud club with us. I'm dreading our last game here & I'm not ashamed to say I'll be shedding bucket loads! This season could be another false dawn, it could be the start of something special but whatever happens we need to give the old place the send off it deserves.
RED ARMY!!!
Ps. Any chance we can get a sign for visiting fans at Barton saying"Bring your voices, bring your passion, bring your souls...... Leave your fecking drum at home"
