| Well lets think about it, £250k-270k for the player or £200k plus one player
Nice new BMW ( £10-15K is that about right for a bmw?)
Box at Wembley, fee accomidation in a 4/5 star hotel free booze, free ticket, free transport down
Signing on Fee
Think thats about it.
But it does feed the flames that Cheats DO prosper in the end....unfortunatly.

If you're lucky, no one will quote the above post and you'll have time to remove it before you get into trouble for accusing a club with an impeccable salary cap record of cheating. Quick, do it now.

I thought this topic was about tapping up players under contract, not the salary cap.

| I cant believe myler has been seen partying with the wire players, considering hes still under contract and were paying his wages shows a complete lack of respect. Its a shame as I really thought he cared for the club, but his head as obviosly been turned by offiah, and as for brad drew as a replacement

| In the RL press this week there is a piece saying that the Warrington Big Cheese is planning to send Myler to Australia for six weeks to be coached by Andrew Johns.

Fraid not... Myler cares for Myler... he's RL's answer to Michael Owen.
Offiah did not turn his head, rather it was a case of him hiring someone who could get him what he wanted.. more money and a move to a more prestigious club. He has both now.
I get no pleasure from seeing what I predicted coming true.
I completely agree that it is utterly disrespectful whilst still employed by Salford to be carrying on the way he has, but I'm sure you are all well and truly sick of it by now and can't wait for the little mercenary to move on.
As I've said before on here, keep heart that you will be getting a princely sum for him and still have bags of talent in young Ratchford.

| Glad to see the back of him to be honest, he's taking the out of us now.
We should offer Stef the kind of contract Myler turned down and make sure we keep him and Adamson

Pretty much how I see it.
It annoyed me in the first week or two of speculation but now that it's been obvious for quite ssome time I really don't care anymore and will actually be disappointed if someone misses out on the final two games if he does come back from his "injury".

You know if this has nothing to do with wire we are paying our players who dont play far to much.
Six weeks living with andrew johns he'll learn a lot there.....and he might know how to play scrumhalf a little better to.

| How many times have we seen young players go to a so called bigger club and then fail miserably.
Great talent that he is people have to remember that we had to have players covering him in defence as this is very suspect.
He does tend to dissapear also when the going gets tough.
He has basically used Salford for bigger and better things.
Good luck to the lad, I enjoyed watching him last year and for 3 months of this season.
Should be interesting first match next year against Warrington,I would set Luke onto him

| i havent really got all this hype around myler, apart from tearing apart the welsh and the french which to be honest is not very hard, what has he done?
the ratchford lad you lot have seems a better prospect and i have been more impressed with him every time salford have played wigan, ratchford seems like he enjoys playing for salford whereas myler seems to be getting to big for his boots at the age of 19! which is not good for him.
personally id put tomkins eastmond and ratchford all above myler in terms of ability and what they are actually doing with that ability.

| I'd ignore Myler, He won't be first choice at Wire, especially after Saturday.
He isn't man enough to admit he wanted to move to a "bigger" club and blamed Offiah. If he had been I would personally have more time for him, now he is just a never has been.

Who says Myler is getting too big for his boots, the salford fans who've turned on him?
So Myler, who isn't a product of Salfords junior system, has opted for a different club after helping Salford out of the National Leagues.
Where's the crime?
He was the darling of the Willows early in the season but now he's been demonised because he sees his future as being elsewhere.
If he has signed for Warrington then who can blame him for spending time with the players and officials who will be his colleagues next year. Salford/ Shaun McRae, in an act of petulance, have seemingly banned him from first-team football which could sabotage Mylers international prospects for this years TNs.
Players move on-get over it!

Ah, but when a player is still playing for your club, you expect him to put 100% effort in on the pitch. He didn't. When we got hammered at Warrington, after most of the second half tries he was patting the Wire players on the back and congratulating them. He visibly stopped actually giving a sh*t. And, I believe, he became unpopular in the dressing room as well.
It's his own fault. If he'd just made his intentions clear and carried on putting in 100% for Salford rather than blaming it all on Offiah and easing off his performances then it wouldn't be an issue.

Why should we play him? We have two half backs who will be playing together next season and need to build a rapport. Hardly fair on Ratchford and Smith if someone who's [ip[/iissing off at the end of the season gets picked ahead of them. It's at the coach's discretion as to whether he plays or not - I'd also be seriously worried if Myler was being considered as first choice for England.

Is this exclusively for Salford fans or is it open to rugby league fans in general?
