Its the style of RL smithy not the number of games. Very disappointing tonight. Very little imagination in attack at all and as I said before we are too flat - nobody is running to take a pass on the burst.

It's only one loss on the back of 3 wins.

No one really expected us to get 3 wins in a row this season especially with leeds in the middle. We will win again....... next week maybe?

Much better performance than last time in Perpignan, and better than we were turning in prior to the Hull CC game too IMO.

A couple of calls went against us, and a couple of individual errors, which meant we were on the back-foot for most of the first half. In the heat down there and after the last 3 games, we were never going to recover in the second half.

Can't fault the effort of our lads but they looked absolutely knackered by the 60th minute and, in the end, it actually could've been worse.

Will be interesting to see how we bounce back next week, especially as Hull will be out for revenge.

It was nice to hear us referred to as Les Diables Rouges at least 3 times.

It wasn't our day, though.

Never mind. Onwards and upwards!

In summary - not a great performance. we looked tired and defense was woeful. But I must say that I didn't really expect to take anything away from there especially when they are hitting some good form. And finally, Ben Thaler - worst referee in super league.

Hmm, 2nd half was dire, let's just hope we can get back to recent form against Hull next week. I never expected the win tonight so I refuse to get too disheartened, it's a bad ground for teams to go to at the best of times, now that they've hit a bit of form as well it was always going to be a big ask. That said I thought we went okay 1st half but throughout the game we struggled to complete sets to the level we have been doing recently & when you're playing so much of the game without the ball there is only one outcome.

How's that getting on his back? It was his first senior game for a long while he was targetted & he had a bad day at the office. Should we all say he was brilliant just because he's new? FWIW I've always rated the lad but thought he looked very ring rusty tonight.

so its mcraes fault shouldnt have picked him until he was upto speed with moves,i come from wigan and watch this lad from the age of 11 when he was in the pats team with stefan ratchford and since he turned pro i have never been impresed didnt do it at wigan and dont think he will do it for us.

Highlight of the game for me. Only positive on the playing side was John Wilshire. Felt he had alot to deal with as Bosc was given as long as he liked to pick his kicks and some of the bombs that he took on the full were great.

I thought that four games in thirteen days took its toll espesicly the leeds gameits been hard having to go to leeds then go to france at least we got 2 out of three more than other teams got

Granted it is a poor result, but we have come off the back of three wins which were all close and hard fought games. The Leeds game will have taken a lot out of the players mentally and physically and Catalan was probably the worst place for us to go after a game such as that. It sounds like the journey down there was a nightmare and took 11 hours, christ knows what happened and the hot weather is a massive advantage to Catalan.

Lets also not forget the different in class between us and Catalans, man for man they are far superior and the scoreline shows that.

Hopefully the fans who went over enjoyed their trip regardless of the result, it is a massive improvement on the last time I went over there in 2007 when we got spanked 66-6 in the pouring rain.

Plenty of fair excuses for last nights performance as stated above. The main thing for me is there is definitely a good spirit again in the camp.

Its unfair to single out Goulding and to play him out of position. He is a centre and if we are to compare him with what we have then he should play there instead of Littler who offers nothing for the future.

Wilshere has made #1 his own but for me there is a space for Fitzy - maybe as undertudy to Robbie Paul for next season and beyond.

So far, from what has been screened, Goulding has made just the one mistake, and he wasn't the only one at fault in that instance imo.

All in all, a tired looking performance, but that was probably to be expected, and not the end of the world.
