Well I for one can see this `amazing` improvement. Perhaps we all have a different slant. If someone knows how to do it maybe a good idea is to put a Poll up to see how we all feel? Leave that to someone who knows what to do.

Whilst I like many didn't think Noble was the right man long term, he should've been given the full season to get us in the top 8, with a potential move upstairs at the end of the year if this was achieved. We would've sneaked 7th/8th with this squad playing the apparent dour Noble way IMO.

Hopefully Harris will come good however the upcoming run of fixtures don't full me with much confidence.

I don't like singling out individuals but for me both wingers don't even know where to stand in defensive patterns. Some of the attempted "Tackles" from Meli in particular have been pathetic. On Saturday there were a few occasions where a Six Foot plus athlete of Meli's stature should have shunted the opposition winger into touch. Instead he patted his arms around the likes of I've not seen in a while from a rugby league player. Add to that his amazing skill under the high ball and he's a liability
Until he's replaced we are going to concede two try's a game from nothing plays.
I'd rather have anyone in that position!!

P.S. To add to the discussion I think we are improving and there's definitely the effort, but until the above is resolved we're going to lose more than we win.

Whilst Meli may be at fault at one end, at least he makes up for it at the other. If other players did this we'd be ok, our right side (Gleeson and Williams) is unbelievably poor in both attack and defence.

Any news on Johnson? We've missed him big time.

Salford can do without fans like you, the bottom line is this team was put together a few months ago, any fool knows it takes at least a season for a team to gell, if you cant wait a while for things to get better go support another team, real fans stick through thick and thin.

Missing tackles and making unforced errors has nothing to do with gelling as a team. It comes down to individuals playing poorly and below their usual standards.

I think it's a tough call to criticise Williams on attack

Or his defence. The try we conceded on that side on Saturday wasn't because he missed a tackle but because Kevin Brown came down the blind side and created a two on one on Danny Williams. Danny had to decide who to go for and went for the centre, so Brown lobbed one of his Elways over the top and they were in at the corner.

I've never been Danny Williams biggest fan but I think he's been good the last couple of games, hope he keeps it up!

I think the leak on that side of the field is Gleeson, Williams has pace too burn it's just infuriating that he doesn't make the most of his skills.

In that instance I felt he got sucked in and fell for Browns pass hook line and sinker. Admittedly I can't recall it perfectly, but I'm certain another defender had the centre covered. I could be wrong though.

The game did have one last season when Huddersfield after decades of trying won the minor premiership and they too were bankrolled by their owner. Soon forgotten by most.

He really doesn’t. He seems to have lost a hell of a lot of pace in the past couple of season, to me he seems like he struggles breaking into any sort of sprint as his hamstrings will give way any second.

I liked Willams when he first signed for us and he can still finish, but pace isn't one of his strong points anymore.

Williams is playing because Johnson is injured.
He's not first choice any more.
As a stand in he's done very well.

I agree, his hamstrings look shot and he seems to regularly have them bandaged up. As a step-in you can't complain, but the sooner Greg Johnson is back the better.

And, of course, the club failing to get you a cake on your birthday is another reason players choose to move on.

Any idea when he's likely to be fit again? He's been badly missed.

Completely with you on that. I've always had a soft spot for City and their (previously) long suffering fans. Interesting on Sky Sports News to see the total condemnation (indeed incredulity) from them.
