I'll be there (supporting Wigan ) Stuart Fielden is expecting to make his long awaited return to RL.
But, congratulations to Salford you've done brilliantly this season. I do think the play offs will be harder though as the dual reg/loan players come back to their teams.

Richards isn't playing tonight but will be in the first team on Monday (he played in the U20's at Wire) on Saturday.

| Wigan won 72 - 16, but it was a very strong Wigan side. Murphy, Russell, Thornley, Gelling, Powell, Fielden, Logan Tomkins, Prescott,Flower and Lloyd have all played first team rugby.

| Men against boys really. A young Salford side featuring a few of the 18s against an experienced Wigan outfit. Cracking try from Brotherton though.

Adam Walne definitely should have been in months ago !!!

| I agree Fages isnt quite ready for SL. Neither is Evalds.
The players that probably could be blooded from the 20's, in my opinion, without worrying wether they could cope physically and mentally would be:
Jordan Walne 2nd row, Adam Walne prop, Ford centre, Files hooker, Whitehead half back and Dan Brotherton wing.

| 'Hull FC U20's beat Leeds U20's 36-24 tonight away from home, rearranged after the waterlogged pitch the night the first team played there.' (22-8-12)
Taken from the Hull FC board...anyone know if this is correct?

The result is correct, Hull won not sure bout the score. Which means if we beat Leeds next week we end up second, if they beat us their second were third and we will play each other in the first playoff.

I'm not here to get into an argument (I'm off to Wembley tomorrow so I'm in an incredible good mood ) but someone on the coaching staff clearly thinks Theo [iis[/i ready for the first team and from speaking to several of the clubs staff both coaching and other the impression is he'll get his shot before too long. One man that I'm led to believe is Theo's biggest fan is an Ex-Great Britain international half back, treble Lance Todd winner, multiple trophy winning half back, and his opinion is one I will listen too much, much more than any tittle-tattle on an internet forum.
Time will tell.

This post is not far off the mark. Would say that Theo has got better throughout the season. Probably not ready to play regular at first team level but after giving him a 5 year deal and with only 2 games left he is surely a better punt than Howarth at 7. Evalds would be closer to first team level if he hadn't been stuck on the wing for a decent part of the season to accomdate Towers.

| If you speak to any of the 18's or 20's lads that have stepped up and played first team, both past and present, most will say that it's easier playing for the first team because everyone's ability is higher across the board. You get a lot more protection from your team, and expectations from being a top player in one team to being just a player again takes off the subconcious pressure.
I'm not saying Theo is ready yet but it's a good time to give him some game time. That goes for any of the young lads.

| Totally agree.
What have we to lose, nothing left to play for and surely they can not do any worse than the players out there at present.
It is difficult at present as the 20's have a Grand Final chance so you do not want to damage that, however at least put Theo and others from the start and have Holdsworth, Patten and a few others on the bench just in case.
