Me too.
It's exciting for us but rubbing-up opposition fans is distasteful after having had it happen to us plenty of times.

Yes and this has happened to no other club more than our own, from Terry O'connor, Nathan McAvoy Scott Naylor and Darren Rogers to recently Richie Myler, Stefan Ratchford, Daniel holdsworth Matty Smith and Joel moon. It's horrible when it happens to your own club so I wouldn't wish it on anyone else's.

| The difference is since Marwan has come on board supporters of Castleford in particular and many others throughout the league have mocked Salford. They have ridiculed everything Marwan has said he attempts to do, they have ridiculed the club and its supporters. So I couldn't really give a toss showing them any sympathy. Maybe once Rangi signs on the dotted line they'll finally realise Marwan does actually mean business and the joke will be on the other foot. What I find most difficult to understand is its those of the lesser clubs who haven't even come close to Salfords rich history that are here to rain on our parade.

| If what i have been told is true and it has come from someone inside the clubhouse then things might be getting worse for Cas.
Apparently Daryl Clarke has already signed for us as well.

| All points taken, but I think we're classier than that. It's them who will look like d*ckheads when signings are announced. Some of the comments I've read regarding Koukash have been unbelievable, but my satisfaction will be watching a top quality Salford team next season and watching all doubters eat humble pie.

Well last week, Steve Gill said Rangi was our player, He hadn't had an offer from you (Thats changed since) And if Rangi wanted to go, We would make it happen on our terms
He did however guarantee that Clark will be at Cas next year - I know Daryl, And spoke to him months ago (Before Gill - Who brought him through the youth set up and doesn't want to be the one to sell him, took over) - He said he didn't want to leave, But if Chase didn't go. He may have to make way to fund it.
I would be shocked if both left the club...... Clark will go at the end of next year.

If it was only fans that's just banter but it Includes journalists & Presenters:-Nigel Wiskar

maybe they resent being dragged down to the fans bar to hear announcements with the fans .
the outspoken nature of the Dr has certainly antagonised the RL press , some seem to have welcomed him as a breath of fresh air , some it seems have only the talent to use him for Form Room digs & snide comments.
mind you that Hardisty - Murphy partnership would still out play Saints current selection .

Completely ruined a good piece by putting Corbett in the centres..... he's blatantly a 7/9! Like the look of Brucey on the wing with that footwork of his though!

| Not sure about Brucey. Can see him being a Keith Bentley type, not wanting to get his suit dirty. Must be questions over his stamina too. He struggles with back to back "strictly" at weekends.
On a serious note if we do finally sign Rangi, who do we go for at scrum half now Dobson is returning to the NRL or would people rather stick with Theo as first choice?

| I'd go with Theo. He's come on massively this year from game time alone, in a poor side. Imagine what he would gain having Chase on his elbow and a dominant pack to protect him?

| Yes,I'd go with Theo although, for what it's worth,I understand he's played all his rugby at stand off.
I think he'll be a top class half back.

| I think it can only be Theo, he is a star in the making and has as much talent as any half back in the league for his age for a very long time. I go back to what happened to him in France can you imagine what would have happened if Theo would have had a player like Paul Gallen on the field with him at the same time? I think the french lad would have still be sparko. The point is he has progressed despite that type of attention, so next year with a big pack to protect him the mind boggles on what he can do and how good he can become.

| Will Chase bit fit for the start of next season? He surely will want a digitectomy to rectify the Yorkshire disease when he relocates on the civilised world.
I think though someone had better explain that his increased wages might not go as far as he thinks as when he has moved to this side of the hills, as there are things like Electric and water from a tap rather than a well that have to be paid for.

. . . and on that note how many of you will there be at MS3 CP today?
If RLW Moley (twitter) is anything to go by then Salford have agreed terms with Cas and are in negotiations with Rangi.
I know the visa issue has been done to death on here so it will interesting to see how this unfolds IF Moley is right.

The irony of this statement is hilarious considering how many posts I saw on that Castleford board that someone posted a link to saying that they would stop attending if Chase signed for us as well as a number of people they knew.
We lost all of our best players at the end of last season and replaced them with either youth or poor stop gap signings. Our team was ripped apart. We were on the verge of non-existence and season tickets went on sale one week into the season, after the first home game had been played. We have had a poor team all season. It's all well and good saying how our fans are pathetic but sports fans are fickle. Other than the hardcore element, if the product you're serving up is a steaming pile of shi'ite then no one is going to pay to go and see it.

| Not relevant to the fascinating "He's signing", "No he isn't", "Yes he is and our club's bigger than your club", "No he isn't and no it isn't" that this forum's been full of recently, but it would appear that Rangi Chase had an on-field punch-up with team mate Keith Mason in their defeat to Saints today.
