| Think it'll be basic Reds Membership for me because it's unlikely I'll be able to go every game. £26 for the membership, then £8 a game works out at £130 if I go to every game. The Premier Membership works out at £128.
It's a great deal though, albeit slightly hard to understand at first. Shame they couldn't have announced something at the last game when there were 10,000 there, instead of, according to Facebook, 4000 letters.

Where in the brochure is the £26 basic Reds membership? I can only see the £50 one, is it me? That £26 one would fit in with what I'd want, but I can't see it,

| £26 is for students and seniors
reading through it again i can not for the life of me think why would anybody pay for Premier membership at £10.33 a month and only get a PAYG card and also pay £13 a match, surely you would get the basic membership? Just seems a strange option.

The club must make an effort and publicise the student prices throughout the Salford and Manchester Universities, loads of potential fans/customers there, don't we already have links with Salford Uni?

| This is a kick in the knackers for those of us with families!!!!
I remember when the club introduced their "Innovative" new family membership scheme a load of whingers on here who go to the match on their own complaining that it wasn't fair that they paid the same membership fee as a family of 4.
Well you've got your wish haven't you! I've just worked out that if I take my wife to the same number of matches as she attended last season it will cost us £40 more this year and that is pay on the day price (£20). If she was a member it would cost £57 more.....DOH!!! How can being a member be less beneficial than not being... I thought it was supposed to attract people by bringing in benefits.
Further more, all those who whinged last time didn't do the maths properly. A season ticket and memership last year cost £180 (£50 membership fee/ £130 season ticket). That's what a person going to the game spent on a seasons rugby. I paid the same, but every time I brought my wife I added an extra £12 into club coffers, I saved a bit, the club got a bit more and the singlton put their money into the pot too for a very good price... everyones a winner. Now I am out of pocket this year while those who go alone pay exactly the same as last year. Let's talk about fair shall we!!!
Family game my ar$e!!!

I'm getting a new student card soon, you can have my old one
Manchester has the biggest student population in the UK doesn't it? I've tried before to get the people at the Manchester Student's Union to do something, but without any success. They advertise special student United and City tickets, and although Salford don't have the pulling power of those two, I'm sure there'd still be a good few who would fancy a trip to Barton. There's plenty of international students (you'd know if you do any sort of engineering/physical science degree, especially maths, blimey) who always seemed to be interested in doing/visiting "English" things, as I suppose I would do if I went to study in a different country. But yeah, big target audience there.
I think we do already have some links Salford Uni yeah, sure there's a few posters on here who study/have studied at Salford too in sports-related subjects.

| I've just been on the 'fishal' site and watched the new video they've posted advertising the coming season. It's either completely naive or an attempt at the biggest con ever. It clearly leads people to expect a season ticket for £50. (Oh! and that's after being told 'You don't need ANY money!)
This type of publicity is either going to generate disappointment at best or ANGER at worst. Does anyone know what they're doing at our Club?

Nope, and to make matters worse all of the knowledgable innovators with the guaranteed solutions are on the unofficial fan-site whining.
Maybe when they say 'unbelievable price' - it's a more literal definition than we presume?

I saw that as well. There may be something planned for today's, but it doesn't look good when Wigan have an advert in and we don't. Could just be that they've sneaked in ahead of us, of course.

| MM is scheduled in May from what I've seen and as far as venue is concerned nothing but speculation. On the KR site they believe it's Eastlands. Anyone else heard any rumours?

| Back on topic, can anyone tell me how much it would be for a 12-16 year old with basic membership. The info’ would suggest around £40 via DD or 75 up front. The £40 is a guess as there isn’t a DD quoted for 12-16 basic members but in the benefits detail a match pass=£20. The 12-16 group doesn’t have any price quoted for any membership, maybe they are part of the seniors/students, who knows?

It's not that difficult to understand, surely.
There's the membership. This can be standard, gold or platinum. Standard membership is for the individual and must be paid by direct debit, unless you want to include a junior under the age of 8 on it - effectively making it into a kind of joint membership, but not the kind offered under gold or platinum - in which case you can optionally pay half up front, or opt to receive the goody bag offered to gold members (with two items removed). Standard membership entitles you to purchase one ticket per match and, optionally, a second ticket for the under 8 and a further ticket for one other adult to no more than two home games each season, although this is only available to those standard members who have opted to include an under 8 on their membership. Standard members paying by direct debit can optionally upgrade their ticket to a gold standard ticket, which entitles them to stand or sit anywhere in the stadium, although this preference must be stated at the time of purchasing the ticket. Standard members not paying by direct debit can further opt to upgrade their membership to gold standard, although this requires them to start paying by direct debit and they must not have been in receipt of any form of goody bag, unless that goody bag was received as part of the standard family package, which entitles the member to name two other individuals (who must be blood relatives and residing at the same address or no more than 2.5 km away from the member's stated address, or no more than 1 km from the new stadium), and these individuals are entitled to purchase tickets for no more than three games (not including cup games or televised games) at the special discounted rate of £2 under the marked price. Standard membership is £120 by direct debit, or £125 when bought direct, but this entitles the member to a 10% discount on any item at the club shop, barring items aready being sold at a reduced price due to other offers. Standard membership at this price is only available up until the 30th November, at which time the prices increase to £130 and £135 respectively, and the 10% discount in the club shop ceases to apply. Standard members can the purchase a season ticket at the standard member rate of £50 for direct debit paying members, or £55 for direct payers with the under 8's ticket being available for £20. Again, these prices only apply up until the end of November, at which time they increase by 10%, except for standard members who opt to pay half up front, as they can optionally pay the extra 10% and receive the goody bag that is only on offer to gold members or not pay the 10%, This part of the offer ends at the end of December.
Gold standard members receive all the amazing benefits offered to standard members, but, in addition, they can opt to move to a different part of the stadium during a match (barring cup games and televised games) and can upgrade their gold standard membership to family gold standard membership, which allows the member to identify three people who either reside at the same address or who have lived at that address at some time within the past 5 years (and at least one of whom must be a blood relative, although if two are blood relatives, the 5 year residency limit on the other named individual increases to 7 years). Family gold members can purchase a single ticket to any match for all members for the special discounted price of £50, but those individuals must all stand together for the duration of the game and cannot move to another part of the ground other than at half time, unless those members waived their rights to a goody bag, in which case they can move whenever they want, but they must all stay together. Individual gold standard members can pay by direct debit at a price of £149, or pay up front at a price of £155 or, optionally £160, which entitles the member to a goody bag and a 10% discount on any item at the club shop, although this must be redeemed before the end of the season, except for family members who can redeem their discount any time up until the start of the following season. Gold standard members can optionally upgrade to platinum membership mid season, provided they currently pay by direct debit and have never opted to change position during a match. Gold membership entitles the member to bring a friend to three matches a season (barring cup games after the 4th round) for the special discounted rate of 15% below marked price, but they must indicate where they will stand/sit and they can only move to another part of the ground at half time, except for televised games, where they must stay in the same position. Gold members can buy a season ticket for £60 before the end of November, or £70 thereafter, unless they pay by direct debit and opt not to receive the goody bag, in which case the price stays at £60 until the end of January.
Platinum membership contains all the above, plus a guaranteed goody bag and free travel to one away game for three people, or two away games for two, provided one of those away games is in Lancashire and is played on a Sunday or on a Friday after the clocks go forward. This does not apply to cup games or televised matches unless the member pays by direct debit in which case they can travel to cup games or televised games, but not to televised cup games. Platinum members can move freely around the ground, as if wafted on air, but they must state their intended route clearly before the game begins, and must stick to that route unless they opt to bring one or more family members, in which case no more than one family member can opt to swan around via a different route provided that route does not differ from the original stated route by more than 10%. Platinum members can also make use of the official stadium restaurant, where they can choose whether to eat frozen chips or instant mash with their pie. Platinum members paying by direct debit can vary their payment by month provided they have not received a goody bag and have not opted to downgrade to gold membership, or have promised not to downgrade for the next three years. Platinum membership is available for £200 per season (direct debit) or £205 per season (up front) although platinum members can opt to rollover their direct debit payment into next month provided they opt not to receive the goody bag.
I mean, how difficult is it really?

| RedJohn, you forgot to mention that membership at any grade is cancelled immediately if you are found within 1 km of the ground with a drum, but the rest was spot on.
Perhaps you can be the new marketing manager
