well its all the same, a murky black stream of sewage and rat
What do you Salfordians think about the Quayside area anyway? Is it full of metropolitan s from down south or does it look like a good social place to be for young people who like city living? Are there other parts of Salford you'd recommend moving to (for working in Manchester city centre)?

| All jesting aside there are now very few areas where you'd think I'll give that wide birth. As you say the Quays is OK, Castlefield isn't bad nor is the Green Quarter (though I've seen roomier rabbit hutches than the apartments I've been in) and Monton I always think is a prime area (M602, trains, trams and enough buses) because of the easy commute and the fact that there's so much greenery close by.

| Always amuses me these My City/town is better than yours arguments...equally so when the visiting fans were chanting 'I want to go Home' especially coming from Warrington and Wigan lot.
Surely it is common sense any City/Town that is large enough geographically will have rough areas mixed with more upmarket, affluent parts depending on social dynamics.
In Salford the Weaste, Langworthy Rd areas are a bit run down and need improving but the Quays, Worsley ,Roe Green are very pleasant.
In Warrington.Appleton,Grappenhall and Stockton Heath are really nice areas to live if you could afford to do so but Orford/Longford /Dallam are like most council estate areas in the country with Padgate having some of the worse council housing I have had the misfortune to see and could be twinned with Bosnia.
Even Birmingham looks an Industrial eyesore from the Motorway but has some rural areas that in my opinion are as nice as anywhere in the country
