I agree, and regarding poaching I suspect that once Dr K has the organisation sorted out, securely financed and properly managed we won't be in such fear of losing that talent which we want to keep - perhaps we'll be the ones wearing the poachers jacket for a change!

Last time we went out to Aus to find a coach ( the next Madge Maguire ) we were being aspirational being linked with assistant coaches - David Penna , Kurt Wrigley , Peter Gentle etc , they all laughed, snubbed us and we ended up with Ricky Stuart's Drinking buddy.

Now we are linked with genuine GF winners with years of head coaching experience in both hemispheres .

I think that's a testament to the distance we have travelling in such a short space of time .

I'd be happy with any of the names being currently circulated because this sets our stall out for the status of the club & the type of players that sort of appointment would expect to attract.

Most club owners, you know where they made their fortunes from and what they do for a "day job" to pay the bills (Dave Whelan owned JJB, Maurice Lindsay was a bookie, etc) but what's does Marwan do to pay the bills? Who cares its highly entertaining reading post after post from trolls getting their knickers in a twist trying to convince themselves that the Doctor is nothing more than a publicity seeking fake.

I think the mentality of some supporters at other clubs is . . how dare Salford have an ambitious, wealthy owner now and be competing to sign the best players, they are Salford and they have a place.

It is entertaining and frustrating at the same time.

However, for me it underlines how fractured our sport has become recently. You used to be able to say that all the cliches were true. Family sport, every one gets on, greatest game on earth. The reality now just shows how far we've gone against all the things we loved about RL. Fans snipe at each other. The RFL get more and more senile, and we talk of excluding teams and people because it doesn't suit our agenda. The reaction to Koukash is a prime example. The sport isn't exactly overflowing with individuals willing and trying to change how things are done. Sure, he's a character, but he's deadly serious. Surely the RL community should be happy that new money will filter through to their Clubs and eventually benefit RL as a whole? It seems that most like things just the way they are, and that's a shame.

The most bizarre aspect of this is that the numbnut has seen fit to resurrect a three month old thread just to get his pointless point across. Has this idea been gestating in his nano-brain all that time?

There are some people saying that he isn't funding Salfords project him self which i hope isn't true because soon as that money drys up he will be gone.

I know at least 5 event companies which charge the similar prices world wide and there owners wouldn't be wealthy enough to start 50million pound projects maybe 5 or 6 max.
