Ask someone your Dad's age what they thought of Alex Murphy when he was in charge at Salford.

| Of course he plays if his form warrants it. That should be the only consideration. We should take to the field each week with our best seventeen and it shouldn't matter whether you were born in New Zealand, Australia or Hope Hospital! If you're playing well you're in; if you're not you're out.
If you're playing well you should also play in your best position, even if an overseas player normally plays there!!
I think it's that simple. I must be wrong!

| I will be very disappointed if Richard Myler is not in the Salford City Reds 17 man squad to face Warrington Wolves on Sunday.
Ritchie has done well since he came to the Willows and I for one would vent my feelings towards our coaching staff if Myler is not playing on Sunday.
GOOD LUCK ON SUNDAY at the HJ Stadium Richard Myler the Salford City Reds England International scrum-half.

| Tough call.
He is still ours, and even half a player with balls would go out and give their all. Whether Ritchie has that particular talent, we will see...
On the other hand, if it's the future we're looking at, maybe we should be blooding Ratchford in the Halves ready for next season. I understand the injuries dilemma that McRae has with the backs but with no relegation surely it matters less? Try the younger players. Nothing to lose. I'm sure that even the shortest-sighted Salford Fans (And there's a few of those) could at least understand those choices.

You are spot on there. Although I was talking to my lad "The Butcher" about this today.
I suppose if his form warrants it in fairness, yes he should play. The thing that really niggles me at the moment is that a certain Mr. Offiah appears to have gone a bit quiet NOW.
This whole "tapping" question really needs a good look at. How are the coaching staff supposed to handle this very talented young man now?
The REAL damage has been already been done. Once the money men had sown the seeds of doubt and greed, they have now taken a back seat and left our club in a very difficult position.
I wouldn't begrudge any player the best deal he can get: but this has been handled very badly indeed.
I suppose we're not used to this much positive attention.
I'd like to see us "move on" now

Because he's more likely to have a decent game against his potential suitors. See Andy Coley for reference.

I would agree with that but I was thinking that he was possibly alluding to the assertion that Myler is our best player, whereas we showed against Saints that we can cope without him in the side.

| Myler, Ratchford for me with Smith on the bench playing in the wobbie role. Myler has had a bad couple of bad games so what give the lad a break he is sheer quality no matter what anyone says, playing behind a beaten pack most weeks and with no outside back to shift the ball to the lad has been doing a stirling job. I heard one comment a few weeks back from someone who said Myler is too off the cuff, what a load of we need someone like that, fatty gives us a poop game plan so we need someone to break it up a bit and try something different and Myler is the man.
I'm expecting the team to look something like this on sunday
1. Robbie Paul
2. Ray cashmere
3. Stef Ratchford
4. Luke Adamson
5. Karl Fitzpatrick
6. Malcolm Alker
7. Luke Swain
8. Ritchie Myler
9. Ian Sibbit
10. Dean McGilvary
11. Stuart Littler
12. Mark Henry
13. Craig Stapleton

| Myler is a Wire...na na na na na na na na na. Cue ironic cheers for every touch. I hope he plays always good to see class players at the HJ. It will be a close game and Mylers brilliance could edge it for you.

In fairness LF, he has been playing behind a pack with no go-forward. Added to the fact his head is obviously not really on it due to all the transfer talk I'm not really surprised. When you also throw in the disgraceful abuse some of our [i "fans" [/ihave dished out to him it's fairly obvious why his form has dropped.
I personally feel he's due a big one and if we can get a foothold early in the game I expect Myler and Ratchford to have big games (depending on whetehr Mcrae has the balls to play them together at HB ).
Roll on Sunday.... I for one am looking forward to doing the double over Wire
