Im brand new to following Rugby League, its always been a sport that has had the potential to catch my attention but ive never, until now actually watched or attended a game.

I decided randomly to go and watch the game between Widnes and Hull on saturday, being a complete Rugby League retard I had no idea what to expect, I was pleasantly suprised that I loved every minute of it...

So I checked out who my closest team would be.. my result was..

Salford City Reds.

So, I shall be attending my first game at the Willows next friday for the game against Wakefield, If you see a confused looking fella then that will be me.

Right then Macclesfield red you are now our rep in Macc, it is up to you to sell the wonderfull game to the people of Macc who are new to this sport and point them in the direction of the Willows and next season Barton. I have tried before but the D O lot tend to get to Manchester get drunk and get no further.

I loved the game on saturday, admittedly was a random choice to attend, but it was so different to what its like on tele.. Gave me a real boost to start attending games, hence why I looked up who my closest team was..

Ill attend as many games that I can, especially now the football season is over and my beloved Macclesfield Town don't restart until August.

I reckon I can get a few lads up to the Willows for the Wakefield game..

My advice to you would be to go and support someone good!

Always the easy option though.. There was 1 mile between Warrington and Salford from my house, but Warrington is a hole and I hate it.. so my choice was easy.

Despite my Super League retardness, Wakefield have always seemed fairly turd, so hopefully a win would be on the cards.

Glutten for punishment!! You'll love it at our place! We may b sh*t but one thing you are pretty much guaranteed at the willows is never a dull moment, good or bad!! Practice your booing & abusing the referee & you'll fit in perfectly. Oh almost forgot, if you come on this forum regularly be prepared to rejoice one week and then totally deflated the next!! ...as someone who resided in Congleton I know Macc quite well, I used to go in the Flower Pot and the Chester road tavern, as my ex boss is a Macc lad, by the way did you know Efe Sodje Macc Town's former bandana man used to live on Moss Lane ?

Anyway buckle up for the rollercoaster your about to embark on, and get to know the Willows our spiritual home before we move next season to that new stadium being built over Barton bridge.

Yes Sodje used to live on the Moss, many moons ago, Back when Town were good.

Luckily I enjoy rollercoasters, so im very much looking forward to my new RL life. I did have a quick peep at the plans for the new Stadium, looks very nice, but I love old fashioned grounds with noise and charactor, so im very much looking forward to the Willows.

I would suggest a quick trip to the docotrs before you become a regular though.

You need to test for mental illness as you quickly become suicidal and your heart takes one hell of a lot ot punishment on an cardiac type scale so I i'd get that checked too.

Oh yeah and I'd get your kidneys checked out as the beer will ruin in them in two shakes of a lambs tale.
