i have just had a phone call from a very reliable source telling me that lee briers will be a salford player next season , its supposed to be something to do with a young scrum -half we have going to the wire , i for one dont think briers is too bad

Don't want a player and cash deal!!! Especially not Lee Briers. I don't have anything major against him just that he is at the end of career that has seen him suffer with quite a few bad injuries. He HAS BEEN a very good player. we've had our share of them thanks.

If someone wants Myler then we will have top dollar for him and let's go out and buy someone who is a class act between 20-25 years of age. No messing around with old make weights.

Why do clubs think that can off load their unwanted items on Salford.

Heard the same rumour today but with one more wires player involved but i cant say who.
Would not want Briers would prefer Ratchford at 7. If we were to bring anyone in i think Thorman would be a good shout. I know he has been crap for Hull but when at the giants he was always one of there better players.

If we sign lee briers inplace of myler this sounds like we are going back to dads army days I dont rate briers one bit if he was this so called brillient player why as a big club not signed him he is also injury prone, If this happens i worry that the club is starting to ruin all the good work karl harrison did so i do not look forward to future if this happens

We can go with Smith at scrum Half and Stef at Stand Off, if (and it is still if at the mo) he goes go get as much money as we can, then use this to nail down the likes of Stef, Adamson etc and buy a decent back which we are crying out for.
Personally I hope he stays and we can build the team around him, I just hope no one is going to give him grief against Hudds, if he is still wavering some halfwit screaming abuse at him isn`t gonna help.

As much as I have always rated Briers very highly, (for me one of THE outstanding halfbacks thru SL), he's now gettin just a little past his best. What would he offer that Ratchford can't
