| If the worst happened, not only would our owner stay but would we be able to keep a lot of the team together, U19's, academy and all the other things that have been improving. And get back up straight away? Thoughts, thanks guys.

| I've had a large number of grey hairs and wrinkles appear since the beginning of August. Being a Salford fan is similar to a man surviving the plague so taking possession of a wonderful London timber home on Saturday 1st September 1666 and deciding to enjoy the view from the window the next day before buying insurance.

| I think if we go down we will do no better than Bradford, living in the past. I also believe the RFL are determined to promote the game by introducing teams like Toulouse, London,Toronto & others which will help the sky market rugby league cheaply, so we could be on a long road before we get back if ever.
sorry for the negative assessment

| Simply, I'm a walking zombie. The body language of the players against HKR, Marwan's obvious disappointment and the lack of possible successors to his ownership, as well as the need to win every one of our next three or four games by a wide margin: all are weighing hard on me. I feel we're in our twilight days. If I'm wrong you can call me anything: it will not matter.
It's not the club: that can be rebuilt. It's the comradeship of the fans I'll miss.

| Well, as a Leyther, I want you in SL. If we are lucky enough to get promoted, then it's a case of the more "Lancashire" teams the better!
Surely, all the players have to do is believe in themselves? Points deduction aside, you have been a good SL team this season.
So, pull yourselves together and good luck with your remaining three games.

You cant avoid the the MPG,The max amount of points you can get is 8 , that's IF you win your next 3 games Leigh already have 8,so need 1 point from 3,HKR have 4 points at the moment they will get 4 from the games against the Championship clubs and they then play Hudds, who have 6 points and only need another win out of their 3 games, I sincerely want Salford to stay up because it will be easy to travel to Salford, but I think at best it's the MPG for you, I will be at Salford on Sunday, watching you.I predict a Salford win.

| aye, Solly, I've seen that
and intend to be behind the team over the next 3/4 games.
In fact I've started preparing the Batley beer thread (including Mirfield and Dewsbury for those who do not want just to follow the TransPennine Ale Trail) as if we're going out, we're going out in style.
However if it is the MPG away at HKR ... I'm not suggesting we can sup as much. The ground is too distant from ale oases.

There is a scenario that brings it down to points difference between HKR, Hudds and Salford, who can all finish on 8pts. This means that we could avoid the mpg. Unlikely, but possible.
HKR beat London then Fev, but lose to Hudds = 8 points
Hudds lose to Leigh and Leeds, but then beat HKR = 8 points
Salford beat Fev, London and Batley = 8 points.
Of course, our points difference (-23) is worse than HKR's (+46) and much worse than Hudds (+90). We would need to win all our games by more than 30 points to get near Hudds.
Right now, I couldn't even guarantee that we'll win our three games.

Tony I'd much rather Salford be in SL than HKR or Hudds, there is still hope for you, if we beat Hudds tomorrow, they then are left with Leeds and HKR to play,I'm sure they won't relish those games.

| That's easy to write a note on the clubs web page whilst your being paid to do so, a little harder to have to find £20/£25 to watch sub-standard rugby.
They will be lucky to see many over a thousand.
Really depressing, only at Salford.

| After listening to Koukash on GMR, Did I actually hear Koukash say Watson was preferred to Sheens as head coach. Well blow me down, no disrespect to Watson but that's the biggest load of Bull I've ever heard. He's on his bike that's why Sheen's is offski's.

Totally agree, massive pile of bull. Watson has done really well but to say that he is the man to take us forward and attract the better players rather than Sheens is an absolute joke. Marwan sounded ready to throw the towel in on GMR before, think he is sick of the stress and wants to get back to enjoying his horse racing instead.

| That's not how I heard it, I thought he sounded like he was staying. He said he's already told the players, n he also was talking about players for next season. Why would be be signing players if he's off?
Not saying it's a good thing BTW, am sick of the circus, just my take on tinterview.

| Must admit it smells a bit off, I'm not being funny but if you have Sheens and a rookie, and Sheens wants to be head honcho you say no we have a rookie who's doing ok so off you pop Mr former West tigers and ARL national coach.
There isn't even any incentive to finish forth as we can't play a home game at errr home, another never going to happen again after the other season. Also Koukash said the RFL are a couple of weeks away from deciding our punishment for the Hudds match, that's probably based on the fact they need to know how many points they need to take off us.
If it wasn't for bad luck we'ed have no luck at all.

| I thought he sounded sick of it all Gadger. If he was staying why wouldn't he just come out and let us know? If all the players are being tapped up by agents they must have been told he is out of here. I hope he stays because it'll be a massive shame if it ends like this.

| He isn't staying even if we make SL. Simon Orange has been interested in taking full ownership of the AJ Bell which includes us for a while now. He was also there today and overheard whatever he said as it being 'done'. I think being under the ownership of Orange can be very very good for us .

| If we look at how the "SL" clubs are this morning, we get the following:
we'll leave Leeds out as they're home and dry:
HKR 6 pts and point diff of +86
Hudd 6 pts and point diff of +82
Salf 4 pts and point diff of +31
We play London on Sat.; Huddersfield entertain Leeds and Featherstone entertain HKR on Sunday.
I can't see Huddersfield losing as Leeds will be thinking of the beach.
The following weekend
Batley entertain Salford
and HKR entertain Huddersfield
I'm not ignoring London as they did get into the qualifiers by playing well.
