| I see the Club has released its figures....
[url=http://issuu.com/salfordreddevils/docs/2016_season_ticket_final_web2?e=19445965/30799502Clicky[/url
The figures aside, I like the effort put into a mini online mag, with talking points from the guys in charge. The Club seems to be quietly going about its business in a much more professional way.

I guess that comes with having the most expensive running costs out of all the SL Clubs due to the AJ Bell. Club is stuck between a rock and a hard place in that to get to full cap they need the income to increase. People in Salford generally can't be bothered supporting their only pro sporting team unless it's for free, and then not in great numbers. People wont come unless the teams doing well, but we wont do well because we can't squeeze the most out of the cap.
I don't think it's totally outrageous, but I suppose it depends on your own personal finances.

| Isn't there meant to be a reduction for current season ticket holders because of the freebees last year?
Seems like a bit of a hike in prices, still interested but not if there is going to be constant chopping and changing to placate SKY.

It’s this alright. A sobering truth. Salford needs to up its turnover somehow.

Agreed, after all my protesting I will probably end up buying an early bird,
but miffed that no discount for existing member??
surely this would encourage people to get a ticket this year if they want to become for the foreseeable future and ensure discount for next year as well?
creating a fan base?
Also make amends to disgruntled fans regarding the free tickets and £5 tickets.
also don't agree with the "gold" package.
Had VIP last year and liked the facility ect, but now to add all these other bits on for extra monies?
got no one in my family that wants to be a mascot for example.
dont care about a spot selfie lol
like the online magazine very well presented.

| I've just had a look at a couple of other Clubs prices to get a feel...
CAS:
Adult prices are from £236 - £268 early bird, £258 - £290 normal
Family £495 - £608 EB, £541 - £665 Normal
Wakey:
Adult £214 - £239
Saints:
(South Stand Silver)
Adult £336 EB, £364 Normal
Family £805 EB, £873 Normal.
Hudds:
Adult varies between £120 - £509
On the face of it, our prices seem pretty fair to me, especially as we need to up our income to remain competitive.

| I thought the logic behind closing the East Stand, was to reduce costs? This saving is clearly not being passed onto existing season ticket holders who are being asked to pay roughly an extra £60 or 30% in comparison to their 2015 ST's.
I can see there being a big fall out from this, with many fans refusing to purchase a ticket and instead picking and choosing which games suit them.
I would hope the club had considered all other options available to them in increasing their revenue via commercial interests such as sponsorships, hospitality etc before they decided to p*ss off their small yet loyal fan-base. I cant recall what Koukash' promise was, but I am reading a lot people saying existing ST holders would be discounted in 2016?
All that said and done, I'll be there.

| The only problem I have with it all is that there doesn't seem to be an incentive to regular season ticket holders. All the top Clubs have discounted rates better than their early bird offers to existing season ticket holders to ensure a solid foundation of support. We don't seem to be able to offer this, and that's disappointing for the supporters who spent important cash on following the team regularly.

You’d imagine the stand closure was part of the deal the club has struck to keep the rental hike down. They could still be paying more money to the SMC than last year even with this reduction for all we know.

It’s possible isn’t it. But I tell you what, you don’t half find it harder to scratch the money when you don’t have a season ticket.

I accept that, just seems odd to me that we'd agree to close at least one stand each game and still need to increase ST's by 30% to cover the rent. Whilst the SMC are a law upon themselves, lets not overlook the fact that they need Salford Red Devils just as much as we need them.
I know we don't have many East Stand ST holders, but I cant see many of them renewing. As I understand it they're being asked to pay the same in 2016 as they did in 2015 but instead to stand behind the sticks in the South? They'd have been much better closing the South and selling tickets, at the prices they have announced today but for the East.

| Pretty sure season ticket last year was £153 for early bird offer? Not sure as I got mine for free.
Won't be renewing unless I can for free again. Down to increased cost and also moved out of the area so costs an extra £7 to get there.

| I have no doubt the club haven't just plucked these prices from the ether but they should have made a statement regarding what in effect is a massive increase.
There should be a greater effort made for what you get extra with the ticket, only 5% off shirts this year where as I'm sure it was 10% this year.
I don't know why but I expected that the there would be a discount associated with membership for the Barley Farm.

This - after 2 years of lower tickets in an attempt to attract new fans - they've decide to shaft their existing ones instead ..
It's now cheaper to watch Sale RU at the AJ Bell than RL
(Full price 230 Quid South stand for 16 games !)
Sale VIP full price 550 for 16 games ( West Stand Gold )
To Watch Phil Joseph , this is going to be a hard sell .

| Certainly is a tough one and if we want a self-sustaining club, that is able to operate at the full cap we need an increase in turnover. I'm just not convinced that the best way to do this is via increasing ST's as much as they have.
I still think there are a number of areas where the club are missing a trick on; match highlights should be available for every home game at the latest 24 hours afterwards, with a sponsor signed up for these highlights for example "The Barley Farm Highlights" which will include a 10 second still promoting the company before the reel begins. Get a season long sponsor for the MOM award that is read over the tannoy, posted on Twitter and Facebook each home game for example "Your IKEA man of the match award is....". Players are sponsored, but what about the coaching staff? Granted they wont have their names shouted out whenever they cross the white wash, but for a subsidised cost they'll still have their company names in match programmes etc next to Tim Sheens.
Until I am confident all other commercial revenue streams have been exhausted I cant support or agree with a 30% increase. It just feels like a quick win and the easy option. I feel for those fans who will struggle to stump up the extra cash.

| For as long as I can remember we've all squealed when season ticket prices have increased but we've all rocked up again the following season. We are the same people imploring MK to put his hand in his pocket.
If we were going bust,we'd all stump up to save the club. Ticket prices haven't increased for a few years ,until now.
It's the going rate,sadly.

| No one mentioned the effect of the cost for a family ticket to increase £120. That is a massive increase for any family of 4 or more to justify a spend on, particularly as being realistic the team this year doesn't quite spark the excitement levels as the previous years does it and many predicting another fight at the lower reaches.
Granted this is in comparison the going rate but to do it in such a massive hike as they have, I predict will see a lot of people put off coming.

| The only facts I can state are:
1, I definitely will not be renewing both my personal VIP tickets (may keep 1 but undecided)
2, We (includes my wench middleman) are definitely not renewing/participating in any sponsorship of players etc for 2016
3, Scotland were fooking robbed in yawnion!!!!!!!!

| What is annoying me now is in a polite manner keep asking about the promised discount for this years members but there is deathly silence on Twitter.
Update.
The club have responded, seems that the discount is included in the published price, can't though for the life of me work out how this works when the prices are general to everyone not split between this years holders and people buying anew.

| normally the price of a season ticket does work out good value BUT
The passed 2 seasons due to holidays and other commitments i normally miss about 3/4 games.
this year you buy your season ticket you get 3 free games???
This includes the middle 8's!
yeah not adding up to me personally think i will be with the majority and pick and choose what games i go to,
and maybe got to wigan, saint or warrington games that are better that weekend?
on another note, if we start doing well and start performing a mid season ticket might be an option
