Tim Smith obviously not been paying his bills.

We're certainly not helping ourselves or endearing ourselves to the public of Salford with negative news stories like this one, especially after the recent story about Vickers and the £164,000 loan.

MEN is loving putting the boot in at the moment. I don't understand why such a story is even newsworthy. All it does is link in another negative story so that the anti-Red Devils brigade can feel outraged all over again.

The council tax in Salford quays is enough to buy a 2 bedroom semi in certain parts of Wakefield

And a 4 bedroom detached in certain areas of Salford.

I wouldn't know about that , as I haven't lived in the UK for over 10 years , but I doubt it . but if I did come back a portakabin full of sweaty tramps underwear next to a septic tank is far more more appealing than where Tim smith will be living from next season.

I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure details like this are not in the public domain so that can only mean that someone on the council has leaked this.

It may not be newsworthy to you, however the non payment of Council Tax is a Civil Offence and can be punished by imprisonment, which in turn does make it a newsworthy story and the fact he is a sportsman in the public eye. Council Tax bills generally increase if this happens and it's the people that are paying their Council Taxes that suffer. I've nothing against Salford by the way
