The injury to McPherson was the most bizarre I think I've ever seen- he's concussed and still being assessed - hope he makes a speedy recovery.

To me it did not look like Murphy 'led with his elbow'. For guidance on what could happen to Murphy if guilty look on youtube at what Chase did to Ropati...he got 3 matches for that. HTH

Even if it had been Ian Brady on the wing the very fact that Murphy twice used the elbow on GJ should be pursued & the club should cite him.

Did you know murphy has only ever appeared in front of the disciplinary once in his entire SL career? That was three years ago. Hardly an act of a disgraceful player-
Johnson may well have served some time but he's a nasty piece of work with a string of convictions- and that's just the stuff that's got to court!!!

I didn't see Aaron Murphy do anything wrong or use his elbow.
If he had done so I would expect the club to have made an official complaint before now.

I find it distasteful that a minority of Huddersfield supporters should regurgitate an incident which occurred when an individual was drunk,and they seem dissatisfied with the legal system and an opportunity for rehabilitation.

Don't normally get involved in this stuff. However the last post has forced me to reply. If you cannot tell the difference between the Johnson case and the incident you have posted about where the police found there was no case to answer then shame on you.

That's it in a nutshell. Our judicial system allows offenders another crack at a chance to become a member of society. No Salford fan condones what Johnson did but the lad is trying to move on with his life and didn't deserve a broken jaw. When is enough enough, five years on maybe ten? The players were told not to bring anybody back to the team hotel and one player brought a girl back to his room, nothing happened except the girl saw an opportunity to try and make some money. The player in question was then released by Huddersfield. So bringing a girl back to a hotel room is not really anything like what Johnson did is it?

I have not made any previous comment on Johnson and will not put anything on here about what he has done. It was the fact someone was trying to compare what he had done to an incident that was proved to be unfounded.
And I do hope he makes a quick recovery as I do not wish injury on any rugby player

I don't thing a bankrupt shop is comparable with scarring and partially blinding a young woman. Nor is a nonsense rape allegation the same as a conviction for 2 nasty crimes.

He used the forearm to the face on at least two occasions. I'm not sure if there was anything malicious in it, just a player trying to get an advantage by using a fend type move. It's something that Nick Fozzard used throughout his career but it's the sort of thing that should be penalised more often. Gareth Hock got away with one on the day from what I remember as well.

Whether Murphy is a dirty player or not, I was bang in line with it and he purposely raised the elbow into Johnsoms jaw despite watching him previously bleeding and reviving treatment to the same area. It was a sh*t house trick and not one you expect to see from a fellow RL professional.

Grow up - you see fellow professionals do things to each other all the time- you have Morley and hock on your team! mind you didn't see the usual head high smash from Morley- didn't see the usual aggression or hard running from Morley either- in fact didn't notice he was there.
