| Noble got the sack for the players he signed.
Harris is not up to the job.
the players look unfit, and getting a game on the price we paid.
start with the scrum half and go French.
the team should be picked with players who want to play for Salford.

Noble got the sack because he didn't coach the players to an acceptable standard, he lost the respect of the players..Give Harris time he'll be fine

| It's only the Red Devils first season. Massive improvement from the last so why all the negativity. The only thing wrong with your club is the pressure the coaching staff and players have with an outspoken boss.
Regarding Brian Noble.. He's a quality coach, well respected who has had to start from scratch. Never should have been moved on so early on in the season.

That's original !
Tackling was poor and there's no excuse for that.
They had the bounce of the ball to some extent, and that's not very original either !
On a different day we could have won that game. Our momentum had started to build just before the long stoppage, and I think we'd clawed it back to 8 points down at that stage
In the end we were clearly second best and Brough closed out the game in expert fashion

| OK Back from the match ??????
Red you stated that our momentum had stared to build just before the long stoppage to injury, do me a favour take the rose tinted glasses off, we WERE C R A P, tonite against a team that were not that good either,
For me i dont care how many tries Meli scores, he cannot tackle, or defend, along with Smith and Mullanay no wonder he couldnt get in the eels first team , bring back jack murphy, im fed up with hearing Smith will come good when Chase comes back , give it a rest he is crap, and for me he can go along with a few of the other players who are just taking the pay and not playing the game
As the chant went up from the south stand , where is THEO THEO THEO. and dont tell me along with the other young players who played there hearts out and put there bodies on the line for us last season , that they are not ready for super league yet, give it a rest, id rather have the youngsters who want to play for SALFORD than a bunch of players who just come for the money.
I dont care who is in charge , Noble Harris or who ever, im noy for getting anyone out of a job, what i want is players who want to play,
bring back of loan all the young players we have sent out on loan, and put them in the first team, because for me there is no competition for places and some of the first team players just dont care,
they cannot play any worse than the high paid players at the moment.

| What a pathetic post...
Salford were poor, very poor. Not one player turned up today.
Taking nothing away from huddersfield, they deserved they're win.
After recent results we were on the way up, today was just a massive step backwards....
To blame it on a coach who has had the post no more than a week is just daft (on a side note I dont think he is the right man for the job) Was a bad day at the offfice for all.
Get over it and move on..

Because the owner, his current manager and all the support staff haven't a clue what they are trying to do.
Combine this with the fact that most of the players are here only for the money ............ then maybe, just maybe you will have the answer.
If any of you watched the Wigan display, I'm absolutely certain that you will acknowledge the massive gulf in defensive class. Salford are absolutely terrible. The difference between the two squads, defence wise, is phenomenal.
So, Salford at home, currently playing well and results going their way against Hudds, out of form and lacking confidence .................... who "should" win ?
What a bleedin shambles ........ I see no improvement on last year, and this could be a season of major embarrassment

| To all who are slating the management at Salford, the reason Sneyd is on loan at Cas is he was part of the Rangi deal, he will be back at the end of the season a better player. You all need to chill out we are not going to be champions over night sit back and enjoy the ride. Some of the reds supporters need a reality check back the team and stop all the negativity, some of the posted are way of the mark.

| There's a lot of emotion floating around these posts. As frustrating as it is, we're in a better position than in the last few years and we have a team to watch. I'm enjoying the ride and never forget what we faced not so long ago. We're going to have poor games. Players are going to have stinkers. That's sport. Take a deep breath and keep on supporting.

| Sorry but the "at least we have a team to watch" argument seems a bit of a cop out to me.
A team to watch that is 18 0 down after a quarter of an hour, cut apart by simple, straightforward rugby that we surely should be able to defend against - what on earth is going on?
I accept that two serious injuries were never going to help (and how cowardly and thuggish was the elbow into Greg Johnson's face after he'd just been patched up, no place for that, I hope the review panel pick it up) but it seemed to me when the going got tough none of our tough guys (with the exception of Morley's superb effort for his try) got going at all.

Nice to see the blind faith mantra still being trotted out. Don't comment on how poor we are, just support the team and club with no criticism!
Unless it's aimed at Noble, of course.

| Utter rubbish I'm affraid, I defy anyone to justify Tim Smith's place in the team based on anything other than his reputation, don't care if it's Theo or not but we need a scrum halves who shows a little guile and passion for the jersey.
To me it was telling that when the protracted break for injury Huddersfield sent on a trainer to issue instructions and do some drills we in the main just stood in a line playing statues until Chase got hold of a couple of people and started barking a few orders.
We need desperately someone to shadow Hock around the pitch as yesterday every time he hit the defensive line he was stood looking to off load with often not a Salford player within reach, the worrying thing is more than once he just blindly off loaded.
I honestly thought when Mullaney took the first bomb aimed his way at full speed on the dive that it was going to be our day but we just looked like a team of absolute strangers. Huddersfield to their credit took us apart in a very professional fashion, I just hope that when Harris gets his chance to make a mark that is the type of performance we will be producing, my worry is how long Harris will be given to get it right.

Talent Stalker is back.
Listen very carefully - I will say zis only wance. I criticised Nobles appointment with regard to his age (53) - his boring style of 5 drives and an Up & Under and to that you could add his portfolio of players he has acquired using the Chairmans money. 6 wins in 12 months (including 2 x London & 1 x Wakey) is just not good enough though strangely I would support his move 'upstairs' to which he would be better suited - unless it affected the work of Alan Hunte.
Many are on Harris's back already citing his Welsh performance (he used Wales based Amateurs and not Australians whose Great Grandad may have been incarcerated in Cardiff Prison before being transported to the Colonies). When at Crusaders he had to contend with a players revolt after non payment of their wage packets and you all realise that when a Rugby Mercenary hasnt been paid then performance wilts. So Iestyn goes to Wigan and learns from the Pie power house and hopefully we will reap the benefit over the next 18 months.
As for his coaching ideas and skills - just ask a random number of players what they think of him after just 10 days. The fans on his back are well wide of the mark.

| Just remembered something from yesterday, couple of times in the second half before the game was obviously lost there was to be a scrum and we just ambled around and lost a good 30 seconds on each occasion, I know it's not much but the players should have been gusting a gut too get there and form the scrum!

| Harris will be fine.
I'm not too fed up after last night.
We lost,deal with it.
The criticism that the players don't have their heart in it,is daft.
Bring in the kids,daft.
Huddersfield had a few breaks early on and created momentum.
As Harris said, when you're 18 points down after quarter of an hour it's uphill.
This team, indeed the whole project,is a work in progress.
There'll continue to be changes during the season, and at the end of it, but to hammer the players is bonkers.
Some will come through it,some will be cast aside, but let's look on the bright side .

| That absolute shambles of a 5 minute period where we conceded back to back to back was the killer. We put points on the board but just couldn't get close thanks to Mullaney's pretty awful goalkicking. Add in the fact that we played almost half the game with only two interchanges and a player carrying a knock and it was never going to be our day. Huddersfield are for all intents and purposes a better team than us, despite their poor start to the year. Disappointing performance overall though.

It's not blind faith. I just have a grip on reality.
Nobody likes to see their team under perform and ours certainly is. We have not had a complete game this season yet. We're a quarter through the season with a brand new Club from top to bottom. Changes of personnel left right and centre. I know some people fell for the Dr's brand push pre-season, but to expect the bottom Club from last year turn into world beaters in nine games seems a little optimistic. With the exception of Widnes, we've beaten the teams around us from last season. Did anyone realistically think we were going to beat Wire, Saints, Hudds, and Hull before the season started? They would have been a bonus. So we're about on track really, even though we've played pretty rough throughout so far.
That's sport. It has ups and downs.
I just choose not to get my knicker's in a twist every time we lose.
