What is it with this bloke? Is he really anti-Salford?

He totally slaughtered your club from top to bottom in his column in a certain national newspaper after St Helens thrashed you and in the same paper just the other day he was giving you yet more stick.

He was bigging up Castleford and comparing them to Salford, saying Cas were a 'better team, bigger club and will certainly finish above Salford this season'.

Cas have been the better team so far this season, that's plain to see. Can they keep it up? I hope so to be honest, but I'm doubtful. Will Salford play the same over the next 22+ league games as they have in the first 5? I doubt it, we have some big names to return to the team & should improve in time.

Both teams will be sniffing at top 8 come the end of the season though, and that's a good thing for everyone.

You have take your hat off to Daryl Powell he’s galvanised the team and got the players working really hard for each other. I don’t think many would have predicted them to win their first five games. I can see them being extremely difficult opponents for any team on their own patch.

Castleford aren’t just a team of workers and do have some decent players but their biggest challenge will be when they inevitably sustain a few injuries to key players. Good luck to them I say. (Apart from this Sunday obviously)

Everybody knows that pratt schofield hates salford...and the reason is------his son was on scholarship there a few years ago and as bad as salford was then they released his son from the scholarship... so he obviously wasnt any good. so thats why he keeps slating salford in the press... he is a total yorkshire pr**k he you ask me and always will be

Cas are better than Salford and quite a few other teams too.
Whilst Phil Clark is just as annoying, he knows less than Schoy does.

Schofield was up to his usual tricks today in his column in a Sunday newspaper. He was slagging off your club and getting stuck into the Doctor as well. Don't know if you lot have read it.

It's possible that when he came to write his latest screed he had his opinions upside down, despite those opinions clearly having a line at the bottom to indicate which way up they should go. Really, he loves us.

Every season old bitter and twisted has it in for some clubs,for a couple of years Leeds and Kevin Sinfield were the brunt of his bile despite wining everything on offer,just ignore him like the mardy he is.

He just likes to be controversial about whichever team happens to be in the news most at the time. That keeps his own profile up, whether warranted or not. Like the lady says, just ignore him.

I'm afraid you Salford fans are wrong and Mr Schofield's constant criticisms of the Red Devils have proved to be spot on.

Schofield was having a right go at Salford in today's Star on Sunday.

For those who didn't see it he slated your performance against Wigan whilst bigging them up and then dismissed Salford as 'dads army'.

Detracts from my view of the bloke.
He was a tremendous player,and now he's just a fat hack trying to be controversial.

It's nothing new.

He has a personal crusade to continue, the reasons have been mentioned plenty on here. The guy is just embarrassing now.

Exactly - The fact he is writing for a joke rag like the Star tells you all you need to know.

Because you are this season's story, you will always attract opinion from various angles, but Schofield is a cock and should be ignored.

Unfortunately he's right though. After the amount of publicity the chairman has created the team are looking over their shoulders at Bradford

I would say that is a fair viewpoint though. Some poor decisions made in the off season bringing in players like Meli and Morley.

Should be a different story for Salford next year.
