Call me old fashioned but why not bring Sneyd back?

Good shout, you get the benefit of a good player coming back and also weakening a team in SL.

Although now been strongly denied by the doctor himself & a Leigh director. ( Andy Mazey ) in discussion with barker on twitter he still continues to argue his point and trying to drag Ryan into the discussion also. This has also been laughed at by Ryan's dad on twitter also. I think Mr.Barker just reads comments on these forums and twitter then makes story's up lol. Has for Ryan he no doubt will be a SL player in the future but is nowhere near ready yet, very talented but still learning his trade at the level he is ready for at this moment in time.

Snyed should never of been sent out on loan in the first place, for me Tim Smith has been no better than Sneyd this season, and cant play with Theo by the looks of it, therefore with Rangi being out we need him back, to pair up with Theo, and not going out to buy another player the team has got to gell with.

I believe Sneyd is on a 12 month loan with no call back.

Smith is far better than sneyd tactically he is setting the world on fire @ cas but its a long season and I recon smith will continue to be very good.

Ryan Brierley is a must signing for me. Best player outside of Super League, young, English and a massive Salford fan to boot.

Brian Noble was over at Cas today , doubt he was sunbathing.

Maybe Cas would consider taking Howarth on loan and we take Sneyd back.

Can see the logic in getting Brierley signed up before another SL team has a look, then either leaving him at Leigh or maybe sending him to Sheffield like a couple of the other lads, working with Aston would only benefit his game, Then look at the merit of taking him into the full squad next season.

Why up root him to Sheffield? If we signed him, I'd leave him at leave for the remainder of this season and even next year too.

I agree. Smith has been poor in the last two games and Sneyd has been excellent so far but that's just the way things go. I'm glad we've still got Sneyd under contract as he's great prospect but I don't think for a second that the result of either of the games we've lost so far would have been any different if we've retained Sneyd.

Has anyone seen Sneyd play this season? Apart from the obvious good kicking skills, what else has he done thus far?

According to Today's MEN, Brierley has signed for Leigh and so, as he would therefore cost for a transfer, is being ruled out.

The cynic in me thinks that we weren't actually interested in Brierley and our supposed interest in him was leaked to Barker so that the speculation would push through his new deal.

Is that the deal he signed last July ?

The lad Brierley isn’t a bad little player but he isn’t blessed with speed and he could find the step up to SL a tough challenge imo. It’s OK for this former scout Robinson raving about him but I think you have to ask the question why no other top clubs haven’t taken a gamble on him?

I think you could be getting confused with Ridyard who scored the interception try.

No he isn't ridyard intercepted but isn't the quickest and brierley took the inside ball for the last Leigh try, he left wire defence for dead too and of his failings pace and balance isn't one

Sad to see Barker continually adding Brierley into any twitter conversations about his future. Should leave his personal account out of any speculation. Won't be doing the lad any favours.

Ryan is a great attacking talent. Those who think he's not quick must be mixing him up with somebody else. Not the the best in defence but neither was Martin Offiah! Ryan has scored 12 tries for Leigh so far this season. Last season he was their top try score with 14. He is clearly going to batter that, injuries allowing. He can play at 6 or 1. I would be amazed if other SL teams are not sitting up and taking some interest!

Prior to signing for Leigh he was on Castleford's books but as somebody has already pointed out, he and his family are lifelong Salford supporters.

I find it interesting, however, that Ryan's playing style and ability is very similar to that of Niall Evalds, who for reasons best known to the coaching staff, has been sidelined.

Consequently, while it might be attractive to Ryan to come to the club he has supported all of his life, my advice to him would be to stay put if he wants regular first team rugby league.
