| I heard the stick Mr Noble was getting on the half time hooter. That's not what I call 'supporters'.
Brian is a world class RL coach, with a huge medal collection to back this up.
You lot wanted him. You got him. Now you're having a go at him. What's all that about?
It will take at least 2 years to turn such a two-bob team around. But give him a chance as he's long since proved he's a top coach.
Get off his back. Noble probably feels he's too good for a club like Salford City Reds anyway.
Supporters need to support, not barrack.

| Sorry but I disagree. The style BN has brought in since his arrival - driving back to the markers - far too flat in attack -one out Rugby then a pointless up and under - not closing out the key men (Smith would love to play Salford every week & Dobbo will run us ragged) has not impressed me one bit. We have gone backwards since Hunte & Long who tried to play a bit of Rugby with a much younger team.
Goldie has to be put on a rowing boat with the Chuckle Brothers (Mauro & Foran) back to Oz. The three of them are stealing a living.
For the remainder of the season please can we see the young `uns back Sneyd, Evalds, Ford & the young ex Sale centre.
Wipe the slate clean Brian & send the 3 Ozzies back now.

perhaps but seriously how much game time will they get next year? would it not therefore, be best to give them the opportunity of proving themselves? whilst experiencing the intensity of 1st team rugby. At least they will get plenty of tackling practice

| I'm sorry but I can't see how the coach is coming under fire AGAIN? We were rubbish under viewers, rubbish under hunte and not much has changed under noble! Every so often under all them coaches we would come up with a win but the majority of the time we would take a beating! You muppets who constantly call for coaches heads need to get a grip! The players we have a rubbish and are mostly championship standard at best! We could have the best coach in the world with these set of players and results wouldn't be much different!

Dearie me. I havent called for Nobles head I just want him to use tactics not used since Noah had his Ark. His current attacking ploys are just tiresome and predictable. I disagree with your tllt at the personnel - we have some very useful players who need to be coached to use their best abilities.

| Was Noble really getting grief? Would take a good effort to get at Noble on his vantage point on the top of the main stand. Bit of poor trolling I think, although there are plenty of questions to be asked.

I don't think anyone would argue regarding certain players abilities, however, by using your own words not much has changed from the previous two coaches. Therefore, given his reputation and no doubt wage, don't you think it would be reasonable to expect an improvement in the basics, structure, line speed kick chase etc? we all know we are pish in the middle so why base your game plan around a poor pack? at least under previous incumbents we were attempting to play an expansive game. I am not calling for his head but i am disappointed thus far.

| Can I just point out we've had three coaches this year and their records are as followed:
PV:
P: 5
W:1
D: 0
L: 4
F: 62 (Ave = 12)
A: 196 (Ave = 39)
AH:
P: 7
W:1
D: 1
L: 5
F: 124 (Ave = 1icon_cool.gif
A: 221 (Ave = 32)
BN:
AH:
P: 6
W:2
D: 0
L: 4
F: 95 (Ave = 16)
A: 240 (Ave = 40)
By my reckoning that doesn't make Brian Noble much better than Alan Hunte with the same shower!

| I did say on record that Brian Noble was not the answer. It seems the Dr and many RL fans are blinded by the media and the soundbytes. Noble is past his sell by date, you were promised improvements and yet as the record shows despite talking a great game he has not improved upon Alan Hunte.
Yesterdays coach far better suited to a media role!

Bonita - normally you talk a lot of sense but your adulation of Nobby is misguided - at this time. Come on - when Hunte & Long had the reins we saw players bending their backs, pivoting - even having a couple of moves. Under Brian we have retreated in our offensive displays - markedly so. I am not saying sack the coach - I just want to see him play to our 'strengths' and those are NOT in the pack so a different game plan is required.

In Noble's last job he took Crusaders to a playoff spot in his last season, so I fail to see on which grounds you can say he is past his sell by date with any confidence.

| Watched the Ex Sale player in the 20s, very able player and an accurate goal kicker, I can't see no harm in playing him he is strong in defence and quick in attack. At this point now what harm can it do.

| I think it its important that we don't make any knee-jerk reactions in relation to Noble and yesterday's abysmal performance by the team. It is clear that we are in a transition phase and Koukash is doing the right things behind the scenes. I guess the main frustration is that the background work isn't having any effect (yet) on the pitch.
It's only a matter of time before things pick up. Lets keep the faith and get behind the team. With any luck we'll be laughing about yesterday's game in a couple of years when we're making small but steady steps in the right direction.

| Just read the following quote from Noble on the club site
"But technically they kicked far better than we did. We got a lesson on how to kick the ball tonight. The way we are finishing our sets is killing us".
If kicking is all important why leave out Snyed our best kicker from hand, OK he may be the best of a bad bunch but at least he is the best kicker.
I had to listen to the first half and get on a plane and it was even more pain for me, we seemed to ushering Wakefield through all the time. One thing that was constantly mentioned was the sheer size of the Wakefield pack in comparison to ours so think Noble will shortly have to revert to type and get some big units on board (I'd go for Ewan Dowes until the end of the season as he's a pack leader).
One plus was that Adam Neal was co commentator on BBC and was pretty decent at it, let's hope that SKY take note of these things for future reference.

| Rubbish heartless performance !!
We have got to have the worst halfback back combination in SL with and ageing Aussie who should have stayed retired and an 18 year old who has promise but at the moment is definately not SL standard.
A backrow that couldn't burst its way out of a wet paper bag, no fullback at the club who can tackle and organise things, two more over-rated, unfit Aussies, one 'halfback' playing hooker with stats that make your toes curl, and a prop thinking he is an halfback rather than doing the job he is paid to do!
We have other forwards who like to wear the shirt but for some reason dont like getting them dirty, and a coach who is persisting with the same team of 'EXPERIENCED PRO'S that is simply getting whooped week in week out.
Rant over....still depressed though !

| I did have a bad feeling before the game last night and that was on seeing the photo of the head coach and captain at the races. It reminded me of when I was very young and a struggling sports team spent time at the golf course instead of being on the training field. My immature mind forced me to believe they should be spending every waking minute trying to improve instead of 'enjoying themselves' elsewhere.
I do not think the owner should be visiting the inner sanctum of the dressing room before the game or at half-time.
We are now in a situation where, for arguments sake, our squad of 'poor' players have not shown any sign of improvement since Noble took over and we are to expect Noble, and his 2 assistants, none of whom appear to have worked together before, will very shortly be attempting to mould a side with a raft of recruits of better quality.
Do we all believe that the coaching staff are capable of that when we have not noticed any improvement above 'poor' from this squad of players ?
The lack of leadership, shouting and pointing,[iesprit de corps[/i all noticeably missing last night.
We need to stick together and maintain the support but after the last 2 performances watching the grass grow holds more appeal.
