| I started to do this and fell out with myself over the full-back position:
Charlton. Jack, Gibbo, or Broadbent.
So I gave up!

| And here's 3 more outstanding fb's who probably won't even get a look in: Fletcher, Jack and Hampson. When you consider the talent we have had in all positions over the years, it hard to see how we haven't enjoyed more success.

| Maybe not the best available team over the past 22 years of my Salford supporting life but for various reasons (ability, class, comedy value ) here's my XIII......,
Jack (pure class)
Jodie (pure pace)
Naylor (bit of beef in the centres)
Wilshire (bit of class)
Fordy (the sidestep + comedy value) (Hodgy just missed out)
Stevie B (my fave player of that era)
Reg/Andy Greg
Youngy (old school prop)
Alker (fantastic servant & defence)
Cashmere (irreplaceable)
Coley (pre you know what)
Buffer (no explanation needed)
Hulme (cracking player, punched above his weight)
Coach: Harrison

I'm with you on that, I've been trying to sort out my best team for years, one or two are nailed on but other than that I'm really struggling as its difficult to know who to leave out.

| Since I never saw some of the great teams from the 70s, or much of the players before the mid 90s, I'd go with:
Broadbent
Sini
Naylor
Moule
Broughton
Blakeley
Dunneman
O'Connor
Edwards
Cashmere
Coley
Cartwright
Panapa
So it's raw power and size in the forwards, then the class of Blakeley, Dunneman, Moule and Naylor in the backs. With the added benefit of Sini's power, the speed of Broughton and the heart of Gary Broadbent.
As much as I think Patten is a talented player, he could do with a little bit more of Broadbent's heart.
With a pack that certainly wouldn't get dominated, and talented backs, I believe that team could win super league.
